Ooow we are so GLAD to have Mary Yuzovskaya  among us, one of our favorite artist !

By way of NYC, Berlin and before that Moscow, vinyl only techno DJ, producer and record label owner Mary Yuzovskaya has been cultivating her unique orbit in the electronic dance music firmament for over 14 years.

Having graced the decks of all Moscow’s hotspots back in the mid-2000s, Mary moved to Berlin, where she became recognised for both her blisteringly-precise vinyl-only techno sets and her painstakingly professional approach to the craft of DJing. After relocating to NYC in 2013 Mary quickly became a key figure in the US scene, performing regularly at different venues including multiple residencies at some of the city’s institutional parties like Unter, where she was a staple for three years, as well as working as a vinyl distribution manager at renowned Brooklyn-based record shop Halcyon. Back in Berlin since 2020, Mary solely runs her very own record label called Monday Off (@monday-off), launched in 2017, where she curates and presses work from artists that explore techno's trippier, more hypnotic side. Maintaining the connection with North America, she currently holds a residency at Public Records club in Brooklyn.

Mary has been busily traveling the world and performing her unique take on techno music’s deeper vibes at many noted clubs and parties across the world, including ://about blank, Arma 17, Basement (NY), Compound (LA), Distillery (Leipzig), OHM (Berlin), Output (Brooklyn), Propaganda (Moscow), and Tresor, to name only a few.

This powerful recording is a live set performed by Raroh at "Art Bei Ton Private 5" on the 27th of November 2021. Spacing between bright and dark atmospheres, carefully sewed together with a melancholic touch, exhibits all the talent of this skillful producer.

Raroh is an electronic music producer, DJ and live performer born and raised in Warsaw.

His music oscillates between ambient, hypnotic, misty and intense sides of techno. His main musical goal is to tell an engaging story in which the listener can completely immerse and get lost.
Raroh talks about things that happened, in different places and at different times, creating new constellations and combining them into one, coherent musical story.

He played his live shows sharing the stage with musicians like Blazej Malinowski, Milena Glowacka, Birds Ov Paradise and Retina.It at Up To Date Festival 2020 or Vril during Slovenian Mladifest 2019. He released several vinyl and digital EPs, including 12” split with Głós, solo 12” on Unknown Timeline Records and latest digital EP called „Above The Ground” on No Way Records.

@frequencymachine is a project developed by David Ricardo Lozada González. DJ/Producer and Artist, originally from the city of eternal spring, Medellin/Colombia.Born in the late 90s, influenced from an early age by all the Latin music that his parents listened to, apart from his city had a great growth in terms of music, it has constantly been evolving and expanding throughout the country, he likes it a lot what is Jazz, Downtempo and Hip Hop music. 

When it comes to presenting music, he loves all kinds of music, but in general he identifies a lot with ambient, deep, dub and hypnotic Techno. This year he has been in constant search and exploration of the sound that really characterizes him, both when making DJ Sets, and when sitting down to make music. He loves the tone and color that he manages to obtain through various synthesizers and the creation of experimentation with them, especially a fan of what the analog sound is.

He clarifies that music has to do with an artistic and expressive value, in order to have a deeper perception of the sound arts.
His project is deeply focused and inspired by musical diversity, being able to give diverse visions and expressions of multiple genres, above all knowing how to give musical culture to everyone around him. He is the founder of @spacewaverec from Medellín / Colombia.

Hoy damos por finalizado un año y una temporada más de Metropolitan Connect, donde tuvimos como invitados a grandes artistas, djs y productores que nos compartieron su manera de ver la música. Queremos agradecer a todas estas personas que nos han apoyado en este proceso, escuchando e interesándose por este bonito proyecto, al cual le hemos puesto todo el amor, con la única intención de aportarle algo positivo a la escena, abriendo el abanico de nuevas propuestas y posibilidades que nos brinda la música electrónica a nivel nacional e internacional, como también la exposición de artistas que admiramos con una trayectoria larga en sus carreras. 

Despedimos este año en las manos de Blovk, musico y diseñador de sonido ubicado en Madrid, España, quien a través de la experimentación en síntesis modular, grabaciones de campo y todo tipo de procesos sonoros a buscado refinarse musicalmente con su manera peculiar de entender el techno y publicar sus trabajos en sellos como AWRY, Koryubudo, Newrhythmic entre otros… 
Esperamos que disfruten de su selección y se sigan conectando a nuestras series el próximo año.

Bio: Vicky Zissou favours the deeper and rythmic side of techno, that is stimulating the mind + body and catching the soul. Hypnotical, tribalistic and emotional sounds are key in her organic crafted sets. The accents are floating between dubby, swirling, acid and raw industrial sounds.

Originally from Berlin, Vicky Zissou has now become an essential part of the Swedish techno scene. Since her dj debut 3 years ago she has been frequently playing at Stockholms top venues and underground clubs and shared the stage with influential artists like Abdulla Rashim, Dorisburg, Evigt Mörker, Insolate, Nima Khak, The Persuader, Joel Mull, Mirella Kroes, Fjäder, Ed Davenport/Inland, Juho Kusti, Oliver Huntemann, Barac, Ellen Alien a.m.

Keep an eye open for her upcoming release on Random Island (RI№18: Matilda) under her other alias Matilda (with Hampus Bogren) as well as her Solo Debut EP.

Benjamin erzählte das er sich an den Tag der Entstehung des Bildes noch gut erinnern kann. 
In klirrender Kälte liefen sie zu dritt über das Gelände auf der Suche nach dem richtigen Blickwinkel, der richtigen Einstellung und versteckten Details.  
Kurz nach einer Pyroaction drückte Benjamin den Auslöser. 
Der Effekt der durch den Nebel und die kleinen runden Lüftungsöffnungen entstand fand er genial. 
Wir können dem nur zustimmen und finden das Bild unterstreicht den musikalischen Ausflug von THNTS.

Benjamin told us that he remembers the day the picture was taken. 
At sweltering cold, three of them went across the terrain in search of the right angle, the right setting and hidden details.  
Shortly after a pyroaction, Benjamin pressed the trigger. 
He found the effect of the fog and the small round ventilation openings ingenious. 
We can only agree and find the picture underlines the musical excursion of THNTS.

We are very pleased to present you today's contribution in the person of Svarog:  based in Lviv, Ukraine, the producer/Dj has been delivering some of the best deep/dark techno since 2015 (Circular Limited, Nachstrom Schallplatten, Affin, Illegal Alien, Pole groups’ Aine, to name a few). 

Svarog's name is rooted in ukranian mythology (God of Metal - the forge operator, God of fire) and draws some of its other inspiration in nature (mountains) & architecture - 3 major Key elements (mythology, nature & architecture) that makes it a  kindred spirit of PA. ;)

Combining saturated timbres, industrial sound, atmospheric landscapes w. sometimes broken beats, the producer/dj mixes shades of ambient, mysticism and 'real techno' to characterize his musical/artistic output. His specific textures, dark and atmospheric signature are out through a recent batch of new, freshly released material (you can find his 'Substances' EP on Affin as well as various contributions on Edit Select's label --- and compilations on Paradigma Records and DNC Limited). 

Far from trendiness or simplicity, focused on dark but evocative textures,  hosting him is the result of a long awaited wish! Please enjoy the listening. :) Thank you very much Oleksa <3
