Poliritmic presents Recognition, a concise and atmospheric EP from Tarek JR that sits in the sweet spot between minimal and deep-tech. The release favors restrained grooves, sculpted low-end, and textural detail over obvious hooks — music for late-night floors, afterhours sets, and immersive listening sessions. Across two originals and a masterful remix by label head Robert Ostan, Recognition demonstrates how subtlety and careful sound design can generate deep momentum and emotional weight.

Sound & Aesthetic

Tarek JR leans into minimalism with warm subs, clipped percussion, and sparse melodic fragments. The EP favors negative space and tension — small, evolving elements (filtered hats, distant pads, micro-FX) are layered to hypnotic effect. The mixes are spacious, emphasizing low-frequency presence and high-end clarity so each percussive micro-movement reads on the club system. The overall mood is introspective and nocturnal: smoky, tactile, and slightly melancholic.
