The Attic Music label strives to keep us dancing in these difficult times with a new EP from red hot young Portuguese talent Nørbak featuring a remix from the label’s owner Fabrizio Lapiana. 

Over the last four years, Artur Moreira has quickly established his avant-garde techno sound on labels like Semantica, Soma, Warm Up Recordings and his own label, Hayes. Always exploring the deep and dark end of the spectrum, he has picked up props from the likes of Oscar Mulero and Dasha Rush while going on to establish his name around Europe with killer sets at places like Tresor in Berlin. 

The excellent 'Pledge I' opens up with a menacing groove that burrows late into an underground cavern. It sounds earthy and organic and the rock solid kick drums get you into a state of hypnosis while the scurrying synths add more details in which to get lost. 'Pledge II' is another masterfully heady and journeying track that layers up more rubbery, propulsive kick drums with fizzing, electrified synth sounds and pads that encircle you and get you into a state of trance. It's hugely warm and atmospheric. 

Over the last decade, Lapiana and his label have become synonymous with evocative techno soundscapes on the finest labels around. Here he serves up a remix of 'Pledge III' that is perfectly smooth and seductive, with soft, looping melodic phrases slowly shapeshifting and melting your mind as they do so. The drums burrow deep into the night and make this a timeless minimal techno classic.  Last of all, 'Pledge IV' is a silky techno track that rolls to infinity, with cosmic pads and subtle melodies all weaving around each other and tying your brain in knots.  

This is another tasteful EP of high grade techno that works mind, body and soul.

The Portugese Rita Maomenos is a Rotterdam based dj and producer who is drawn to hypnotic sounds and obscure atmospheres. Her journey started when she played at underground raves in Mannheim (Germany) and ever since she worked hard to further develop herself as an artist. This resulted in her being a former host on Frission Radio and releases on LXVIII and Trau-ma.

For Salon 007 she aimed for a sinister adventure which consists of otherworldly dystopian sounds. This has led to an atmosphere in which you can drift away with a well found balance between straightforward 4x4 and off-beat lows.

Booz - Five Years Later

La carrera de este joven productor y dj toledano (@rassermusic) comienza con tan sólo 8 años dando rienda suelta a la creatividad con su batería. A los 16 años surge en él un especial interés por la electrónica y empieza como dj en varias cabinas locales. Sus sets estaban influidos por artistas referentes como Ben Sims, Surgeon o Adam Beyer.

Dos años más tarde comienza a indagar en la producción definiendo su propio sonido , que posteriormente fue puliendo hasta que en 2014 lanza su primera referencia bajo el sello Naked Lunch del portugués A. Paul.

A día de hoy, su música ha dado un cambio radical, influenciada por los sonidos de un techno más crudo y oscuro combinados con atmósferas agresivas y enfocado a la pista de baile.

Su sonido y creatividad le ha llevado a publicar en sellos como: Illegal Alien Records, Naked Lunch, PNP Records, Dead Cert, ... Sus tracks han tenido una gran respuesta por parte de artistas como: Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi , Takaaki Itoh, Samuli kemmpi, Kessel, Abstract División, entre otros .... incluyendo sus tracks en sus actuaciones y podcasts.

En 2020 ha publicado nuevas colaboraciones en sellos como Aspect:Ratio, Selected Records o Postdynamic, por citar alguno de ellos.

Swedish techno producer and DJ Benjamin Mull delivers this week's Global Vibe Radio mix.

Benjamin Mull was seduced by the dark sounds of techno from an early age. Influenced and surrounded by 90s techno heroes such as his older brother Joel Mull and Cari Lekebusch, there was no doubt Benjamin was gonna follow the same path. He has since become a reference in the Stockholm underground techno scene in the last several years with different projects such as Club Backdoor, underground raves and recently with his own label called MOLN Records. 

His music reminds listeners of stripped-down dancefloor minimalism combined with a hypnotic deep and a heavy groove, both in his sets and productions. With his recent releases on @krillmusic, @h-productions and on @parabelmusic, Benjamin is for sure one of Sweden’s latest talents to look out for.

Leader of music platform and series of events - Biotechnologia
which is focused on promotion of psychedelic, cosmic, organic and hypnotic sounds in techno and broadly defined electronic music. In his DJ-sets, he is looking for a balance between deep, trance, minimalistic and ambient-soaked techno and leftfield or tribal beats. He occasionally weaves elements of minimal house or electro into his sets. In his DJ and promoter activity he tries to convince his listeners that sets grown out of techno do not have to be mainly strong or mainly dark in their expression, that there is space for a whole range of emotions in the 4/4 area. He performed at events signed by such brands as Up to date festival, Instytut, Revive, Fort open air or Ars Independent. He shared the stage with such artists as eg. Edit Select, Shlomo, AWB, VSK, TAKA, Freddy K or Justine Perry.

We are enlarging our digital series with another album by meticulous italian producer Evod. Ten virtual cuts of scientific bleepy abstract techno: Intrincated, complex, detailed, carefully crafted soundwise. A voyage to the future via dissonant harmonies and sound experiments, but yet danceable or playable by proper dj’s out there.

This body of work has been conceived to be listened to as a whole, to get into a time travel mood that brings you out of the currently absurd panorama.

About the tracks:

Cavita sounds like a sonar bleep sent outer space, repetitive and linear.
Dimensionamenti : elastic and liquid, still preserving the hypnosis via repetition.
Sfoghi D’Aria follows similar parameters, bleepy spiced grooves with a simple rhythmic approach.
Portate D’anima works with spaces and sound layers bringing the FX work a step beyond.
Forma Transitoria returns to bleep galore and liquidness.
Cera perduta is an alien march over a solid kick.
Cassa d’anima softens the approach, still keeping the tension that floats all over this album.
Granuli brings us to the best Detroit / Warp days of the early nineties with a precious 808 groove.
Zona Massiva is like the sound of filters making music, again liquid and elastic.
Forma Permanente is the last bullet, saying goodbye in a classic timeless techno vibe.

Glad to have such a talented person on board. There is still hope in this semi destroyed musical world.

Polish Techno.logy was created in 2017 as a podcast series project. Over the years, it has become a respectful platform which hosted sets of many local artists as well as the international ones. 
Among many others we invited artists such as Arnaud Le Texier, Insolate, Joton, Bralle, Anne, Falling Echoes, Antonio de Angelis, Casual Treatment, D/n, Red Rooms, Juri Heidemann, Decka and many more.

As a natural progression we started to promote the music, which correlates with our vision by working with artists, collectives and labels and uploading their tracks as premieres.
So far, we have been trusted by such labels as Planet Rhythm, Newrhytmic Recs, KSR, SK Eleven, VOXNOX Berlin, OECUS, Out Of Place, Prophet Recordings, Immaterial Archives, Devotion Records, METHODICAL and many more.
