This set was recorded at his debut New York show, when our good friends at @glitterballnyc brought him over to play the 3001: Odyssey Disco party series back in April 2016. Expect to hear everything from his signature horror disco sound to electro, EBM/industrial, and pretty much anything in between and beyond.

Knife presenta a Alessandro Adriani, jefe de Mannequin Records, dj residente y curador del Mannequin Records Nacht bimensual en Panorama Bar/Berghain.

Nacido y criado en Roma, Italia y ahora viviendo en Berlín, Alessandro Adriani es el cerebro detrás de Mannequin Records, un medio que desde 2008 ha hecho más que cualquier otro para desenterrar el oscuro synth wave y la música industrial de todo el mundo.

Además de su trabajo en el lanzamiento de gemas olvidadas y encantamientos de sintetizador de última hora, Alessandro Adriani también ha estado emitiendo en silencio su propia música para sellos como Mannequin, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Pinkman y Jealous God.  Anteriormente activo como Newclear Waves, desarrolló recientemente un interés por las remezclas/ediciones, incluida “the rarest disco fruit from the Caribbean a través de Berlín: Alessandro Adriani de Mannequin Records presenta una edición humeante del burbujeante y exultante proto-house bubbler de Lata Ramasar The Greatest Name That Lives. ".

Knife presents Alessandro Adriani, head of Mannequin Records and the resident dj and curator of the bi-monthly Mannequin Records Nacht at Panorama Bar/Berghain.

Born and raised in Roma, Italy and now living in Berlin, Alessandro Adriani is the brain behind Mannequin Records, an outlet that since 2008 has done arguably more than any other to unearth obscure synth wave and industrial music from all over the world.

Aside from his work in releasing forgotten gems and up to the minute synth incantations, Alessandro Adriani has also been quietly issuing out his own music for labels like Mannequin, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Pinkman and Jealous God. Previously active as Newclear Waves, he developed lately an interest for remixes/edits, including “the rarest disco fruit from the Caribbean-via-Berlin: Mannequin Records’ Alessandro Adriani rolls up a smoking edit of Lata Ramasar’s exulting/exulted proto-house bubbler The Greatest Name That Lives.”

Marco Shuttle - Tokyo Aftermath

FAQ and DVTN-resident DJ Hirax have been friends since the late 90s. Beside their passion for DIY-hardcore shows, punk/political magazines and underground club music, their friendship is marked by a deep solidarity against all social pressures in late-capitalism, especially the ones exercted through family life and it’s human abysses. Growing up in completely different economic backgrounds (nameley the upper and lower class), they always strived to reject any corporative norms of segregation and to never disrespect each other based on pointless differences in incomes. 
To make it short: They love life as much as they hate the false environment of a world characterized by the global rule of exploitation of human labour and resources. If today’s Techno movement fights to be a part of the German cultural mainstream, the only right response can be: Euer Palast ist gebaut aus Hundescheiße! Both share the hope that socialism as a cooperation of free associated individuals is still an answer. 

As part of Leipzig’s Young Shields Crew, FAQ and his bunch of music nerds are running parties with what you could call very idiosyncratic booking policies: Mostly inviting friends or producers with a focus on club sounds miles away from modern expectations of Techno music. This is what we like about their crew: They don’t give a fuck about trends. 

Located somewhere between true Electro, Wave and EBM, FAQ’s style is marked by of dark soundscapes, rough, programmed drum machines filled with an enraged atmosphere. Or, in his own words: "I really wanted to do a one take vinyl mix with all its implications. Something devastating and
harsh. This is the outcome."

@carlotta-jacobi und Marlene Lys engagieren sich beide als Organisatorinnen des monatlichen FLINT*-Ableton User Group im @institutfuerzukunft in Leipzig. Carlotta Jacobi, bekannt als DJ, Producerin und Mitglied des Labels @connwax-records, war schon öfter auf verschiedenen Clubbühnen zu sehen. Bei Vektor spielt sie nun das erste Mal mit Marlene Lys. Beide haben kürzlich ihren ersten gemeinsamen Track via VAK releast.
