Continuing a strong start to the year, Madloch's Sound Avenue welcomes Beije back to the label for a new artist showcase. Based in Canada, the Beije production duo first emerged in 2019 with a release via Paul Hazendonk's Manual Deep imprint. Noted for their deep, hypnotic yet musical sound, the Toronto duo would find success in short order, landing subsequent projects with Stripped Digital and 3rd Avenue, the latter of which preceded their Sound Avenue debut via the label's popular Correlation series in 2020. Seemingly in perpetual motion moving forward, the next four calendar years would see Beije continue to refine their sound, adding key projects via Nordic Voyage, Proton Music, Songuara and Where The Shadow Ends, while also solidifying themselves as trendsetting DJs in Toronto's burgeoning nightlife. With a 2023 remix of Jean Caillou's ‘There' marking Beije's most recent Sound Avenue appearance, the duo now finds their way back to the label as 2025 begins, unveiling a new three-track artist EP ‘Monarch'.

Zoa EP, is an intricate tapestry of sound woven by Ben & Vincent. This compelling release seamlessly blends cinematic depth, organic textures, and electronic innovation across four original compositions and four transformative remixes. Drawing inspiration from William Blake’s mythical Zoas, which explore the facets of human consciousness—reason, passion, instinct, and creativity—the EP takes listeners on a sonic journey through the complexities of the human experience.

The story begins with “Emily’s Prelude,” a breathtaking collaboration with composer Will Hyde, whose orchestral prowess has graced Disney and Hans Zimmer productions. This cinematic piece opens the EP with grandeur, intertwining symphonic elegance and electronic subtleties to set the stage for what’s to come.

The title track, “Zoa,” dives into primal energies with a jungle-inspired rhythm that evokes the untamed power of the natural world, resonating with themes of passion and rebellion. This is where makeke’s remix steps in, transforming the original into a hypnotic dance of intricate beats and pulsing basslines, offering a fresh perspective on the track’s wild essence.

With “Rintrah,” Ben & Vincent join forces with Magupi to craft a mystical narrative, steeped in organic sounds and haunting melodies. Ohxala’s remix takes this tale further, reimagining it as a meditative exploration of ambient textures and tribal rhythms, connecting listeners to a deeper, spiritual plane.

The journey concludes with “Flying Circus,” a whimsical and playful composition that balances complexity with uplifting energy. Its remixes by Akira Arasawa and Timboletti expand the narrative, from a pulsating dancefloor anthem to an immersive, organic house odyssey.

The Zoa EP is a testament to Ben & Vincent’s mastery of storytelling through music. Each track is a chapter, weaving together emotion, imagination, and artistry to create an experience that lingers long after the final note.
