I was listening to a lot of BKS recently as I was really wanting to get into that 90s groove of things with the last two tracks of Solarium, and what better way to get inspiration than to pay tribute to a pioneer of the Canadian industrial and dance music scene.

For those who don’t know, Chris Sheppard is one of the key reasons why we have a dance music scene in Canada and one of the best in North America. 
 
I have to also acknowledge the influence of LA Style.  The piano line I created is very much based on I’m Raving (LOVE this track!).  So this is a homage to them too!

As the BKS album title says, "For those about rave... we salute you”.

This track is also meant to be light hearted, funny and clichéd.  It totally takes me back those days of homegrown independent music where people were experimenting and pushing out really interesting electronic music in all it’s forms.  It definitely tells a journey.  At 140bpm, this is the fastest track I've written to date.

Speech synthesis is AUSpeek3 (so cool!) and Atari Speak (samples from Freesound.org), NI Rise & Hit, Massive and Massive, the Korg Triton’s 90s Piano, Roland Aira TB-3 and a few Apple Loops to fill things in.
