Since the 90ties, he is one of the electronic and urban music scene’s highly respected pioneers connecting the dots of the various moods and stories that breakbeats and its sub genres can tell.

Musically influenced by Jazz, Hip Hop, Techno, House and Jungle plus a qualified jazz piano player and conductor alike, he lives and loves rolling basslines, powerful vibes and deepness – mind, body and soul.

Hailing from Dortmund (Germany), Dash played out soulful broken beat sounds and basslines with sound-system culture references firstly through the local and nationwide club and festival scene and then across all of Europe on a regular basis even at times when it was not en vogue. You can never pin just one style to Dash – for him, it is the love of the moment and the people around him that count.

For 30 years, he has helped shape the biggest music festival in his area and is curating a multiplicity of club programs.
As the creator of many regular nationwide radio shows, Dash provides some of the few artist-led broadcasts on the German and Portuguese FM radio landscape. He is also working as a booker, journalist, lecturer, editor and writer in the context of club culture as well.

Although Dash is most famous for his open-minded take on Drum and Bass, he has built a widespread reputation for his deep knowledge of Jazz, Downbeat, World Music, Soul, Hip Hop, House and organic genres nearby through his lectures and over 2000 DJ sets in legendary clubs and at various festivals.

As a member of several music and art collectives and as an initiator of the famous Subport events and resident DJ at several club nights alike, Dash continues his unbroken career.

Second Storey is the artistic vessel of Alec Storey, a Berlin-based producer whose roots trace back to Norfolk’s free-party scene — the same fertile ground that gave rise to Bloc Weekender. Emerging first as Al Tourettes with early releases on [k]rack-troni[k], he went on to record for Apple Pips, Sneaker Social Club, Aus Music, and Schmorgasbord, while building a formidable creative partnership with Appleblim. Together, the duo remixed Planetary Assault Systems, Axel Boman, Underworld, and Raudive, before launching the ALSO project. Their live debut at Space Ibiza set the tone for a string of European performances and culminated in a full-length album on R&S Records.

Second Storey’s solo trajectory is no less ambitious. Commissioned for the soundtrack to Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, he later inaugurated his Second Storey alias with the Houndstooth-released debut album Double Divide. Preceding EPs on Nervous Horizon and Austria’s Trust laid the groundwork for his second LP, Lucid Locations, a cerebral distillation of his electro-techno-funk aesthetic. The subsequent remix collection, Lucid Interpretations, featured contributions from Nastia, Radioactive Man, The Exaltics, Machine Woman, and 214. His catalog has since expanded with releases on Clone’s Frustrated Funk, Varvet, Natural Selection, Pudel Produkt, Mechatronica, and most recently, No Static Automatic.

Stylistically, Second Storey’s compass is guided by funk’s psychedelic backbone, channeled through electro, techno, IDM, UK bass, and other rhythmic mutations. Whether collaborating, remixing, or commanding the stage with live drum pad intensity, his output remains singular: elastic, unpredictable, and bursting with energy.

MachineFunk is a DJ and producer based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He began his career organizing and playing at illegal techno parties, where he developed a passion for electro from the Detroit techno tradition. 

His work as a producer focuses on creating raw, stripped-down tracks often described as machine funk. With a background in underground rave culture, MachineFunk explores the intersection of minimal techno rhythms and electro’s mechanical grooves. 

His music emphasizes research, precision, and a back-to-basics approach to electronic dance music, maintaining a strong connection to underground values.
