In this edition of QC, we are thrilled to welcome the one and only Philipp Otterbach @philipp-otterbach , long-time record collector of all kinds of music, DJ and producer, who would approve his words. Back in the 2000s, he and his close friend Vladimir Ivkovic spearheaded some forward-looking dances in the Ruhr region of Germany, leading the way at the forefront. When the legendary Salon Des Amateurs club opened its doors in the Dusseldorf, Philipp was undeniably among its first resident DJs.

As for his musical productions, his discography spanning from releases on Knekelhuis, R.i.O, Music From Memory, to Offen showcases a diverse range of styles, from modern classical to ambient, industrial, and electronic, each imprinting his distinctive sonic signature. Listening to his set feels like delving into a vast museum like archive, where genres intertwine, swiftly transition, and surprise with their narrative twists.

He also enjoys acting like a social otter, spending time with his deer and feeding the squirrels.

Luce Clandestina 

Italian dj, sonic explorer, curator (and spatial researcher) based in Turin, Luce Clandestina aspires to create spontaneous soundscapes that traverse the realms of light and darkness. Weaving paths that intertwine in an unexpected narrative, her sets reflect the interest towards a more internal dance experience, mental and emotional, using psychedelics and hypnotism as instruments.

For this new episode of Polychrome Radio at 17:00 on @echoboxradio , we are hosting creative mastermind, selector, crew member and friend @geri_x.

Geri’s perspective on design and music has been channeling an inspiring energy around him, building bridges between communities and offering his visual talents to our vision. Member of creative community @__rpu__ , visual designer of Polychrome and co-founder of new concept agency @misuse.creatives , he has been defining a unique aesthetic and approach to collaboration.

Music is at the core of everything he does, and the wide range of sounds that he plays simply reflects the sensitivity of an artist who finds beauty where it is. From ravey sounds to rolling grooves, leftfield explorations to ambient journeys, Geri is a dj that can be trusted in any setting. Performing very regularly, he always impresses by his ability to connect with the floor, while sharing is very communicative positive energy.

It is a pleasure, and a really cool full circle moment to host him for this episode. Tune in, and enjoy what he has to offer to us.

@isabel-wiltenburg has been shining her way through our communities for some time now. Leading the Nightlife Care Network - a support platform for our nights - she offers us her deep nightlife expertise, inspiring empathy and friendship, making our practice grow on and off the dance floor. Because it is there that her research in the night starts, as a dancer. One that fully experiences music, soaking in the energies and sounds, while defining her own.

Exploring bass frequencies and UK influenced club music, ISA W perfectly paces the rhythm and is open to merging cultures through sounds. After recording a beautiful episode of RPU’s Aquatic Gardens and blessing  the Surface Massief night at Noord Space , Isabel is taking the reins of Polychrome Radio for an hour through her collection, and we are honored.

It’s refreshing to feel such care and vision for music and the cultures that surround it. We first discovered @Lula_Luna as an artist through her listening selections—whether played on radio shows or released on her own SoundCloud.

A certain sensitivity shines through her sets. Her selections spark the imagination and inspire new flows. From ambient escapes to dub-infused electronics, there’s a grounding element that ties her sound together—understated yet powerful.

As part of the Possibilities Open Studio crew, Lou has been exploring her creative self by curating events that move the needle, while researching music aesthetics and experiences. Alongside this beautiful cover shot by Mark Loopstra, she shared with us a few nature photographs taken in Gran Canaria. A soft visual reminder that sounds require space and time.

For this next episode of Polychrome Radio , it is our pleasure to invite one of the label’s oldest friends, Random Spirit ⚛️

A core member of RPU, Francesco has been offering his energy to the underground scene for years, helping create raves and parties that still today are our favorite dances. Involved in building the Noord Space community and part of the Spores crew, he has been dedicating his time to creating spaces for music and exchange.

Random Spirit is constantly in the search for new musical avenues both as a dj and producer. Always navigating in between the lines, he researches the sounds that connect minimal, trance and electro, unearthing music that we rarely get the chance to listen to. As a producer, he gets the freedom to design his own world, one that merges a certain sensitivity to the raw energy of the rave.

This moment is a special one, as it is with a lot of care and excitement that we will experience what he has prepared for this episode. See you on the airwaves! 📡

Polychrome Radio on Echobox - Episode 41 - Random Spirit

Today at 18:00, it is our pleasure to host Amsterdam-based artist dj and producer Jerrau for our Polychrome Radio episode on Echobox Radio📡

Jerrau has been making us dance for some years now. Navigating between percussive grooves, bass heavy cuts and deeper escapes with ease and flow, the Dutch-Surinamese selector keeps on adding memorable performances to his portfolio. Whether it is at Horst Arts & Music Festival, Dekmantel, Club Raum or Garage Noord, Jerrau constantly offers glimpses of his library and shades of his colorful palette, never compromising on his influences and inspirations. 

Very involved in Amsterdam’s nightlife through programming and curation, his process is fueled by artistic curiosity and anchored within a constantly evolving ecosystem. As Jerrau continues to experiment with rhythms and sounds, he keeps on reinventing himself while building bridges between shifting generations of dancers.

We are very excited of having Jerrau today, and can’t wait to showcase the music that moves him!

It is during summer 2024, in front of 40 subs stacked under the trees of Draaimolen’s Forest Rave stage that we first met Faited. Envelope Soundsystem conjurer, soundsystem fabricator, and a wonderfully skilled vinyl DJ, Faited has made of sound an element that she invokes, crafts and playfully selects. Based in Oakland, CA, she is deeply involved in building and nurturing communities in the pure rave spirit, sharing both her knowledge of acoustic waves and bringing people together around music. 

When it comes to her vinyl selection and practice, it is raw sounds and moving energies that connect her record collection. From mind melting drum’n’base to ravey techno and trippy tech house escapes, it is a body freeing feeling that she creates on the dance floor. 

Faited had a busy summer, touring in Europe and playing a few festivals: The Great Beyond Festival in Minneapolis, Draaimolen in Tilburg (with an incredible performance alongside Octo Octa), and the multi-day rave System Activate in Vermont. When not DJing, she designs and fabricates new loudspeaker designs under her brand Faited Systems.

It is a real honour and pleasure to host Faited for Polychrome Radio on Echobox Radio. This hour of music encapsulates her unique dance floor perspective, and we can’t wait to share it all with you!
