Katie Preston is a solo artist and the front person of Pleistocene, a rock & roll band from Upstate NY. What started out as bedroom tapes recorded soon came to life in full band form. Preston's writing process began as solitary and reflective, after a summer spent in Brooklyn. Her experiences seem almost fated to be put to song. Over the past few years, Preston's music has become more collaborative. Working with a diverse group of musicians, Preston is now in several bands and is a full time musician. BuffaBLOG says; "There is a strong personal arc to these songs, indicating that Preston is either a world-class storyteller or completely unafraid of sharing parts of herself other musicians might shy away from.There is a reflective quality to the lyrics, but zero navel-gazing. Its all left vague enough to allow you to see parts of yourself in her songs."

Phylr is Jim Filer Coleman. Creatively diverse and/or schizophrenic, the music ranges from machine oriented beat driven mayhem to organic atmospheric ambience, usually settling in the realm of cinematic imagination. 

Historically, Coleman was an integral member of seminal post punk, post industrial band Cop Shoot Cop. He then went on to compose music for indie films and television. He has worked with directors such as Hal Hartley, Todd Phillips, Beth B, and Richard Kern. Coleman has also composed music for series and one - offs for HBO, A&E, Court TV and TLC, among others.

Coleman has released 2 albums under the name Phylr and done numerous remixes (Foetus, Young Gods, Steve Wynn etc). He has collaborated with noted Italian composer Teho Teardo as Here, and with sonic mastermind JG Thirlwell as Baby Zizanie.

He has an on again - off again band in NYC called The Children.

An ambient album entitled Trees will be released under the name Jim Coleman in 2012.
