The year is 2077

Advancements in computer technology have blurred the line between the real and virtual world.

Decades of global nuclear war have forced humanity into a small number of mega cities run by a handful of global consortiums.


The largest of these mega cities is the ultra city of Neo New York. Population 400 million.


Crime runs rampant as thugs, gangs, and other entities attempt to carve out their piece of the city.

Years of genetic and cybernetic modifications, coupled with nuclear devastation have created powerful mutants that roam through the city’s massive sewer network.


At the same time another war rages on. One within the virtual world.


Hackers employed by corporations and mob bosses launch relentless assaults on one another in order to siphon funds and steal any secrets they may inadvertently discover in the process.

In order to further protect its assets, the largest private enterprise, Global Bionic Corp (GBC), fully funds a division of the NNYPD  know as the VR Police Task Force. This force is comprised of elite hackers and specialized tactical assault units capable of neutralizing any threat at a moment’s notice.

Lately, a new breed of criminal has emerged. One possessing never before seen psionic powers that seemingly can create a rift between our perceived world and the virtual one.
