Canblaster - Presents (Feat. Para One)

‘We should really work together one day.’ There’s no bigger cliché to be heard in backstage areas, that mythical transit zone where producers and deejays meet, chat and then hop on their tour buses again. Belgian dance-act The Subs heroically plotted collaborations with fellow musicians in various dressing rooms across the globe. What is truly heroic is that in their case, those nightly encounters led up to actual music, and some damn fine music too.
‘Collaborations’ is a double EP on which The Subs joined forces with both iconic names and underground producers.
A month after the release of the first volume, The Subs present the second part of ‘Collaborations’. Part 1/2 consisted of tracks with Etienne de Crécy, John Roman, Shinichi Osawa and Hoshina Anniversary.

The sequel ‘Collaborations 2/2’ kicks off with ‘Body Memory’, a neo-French touch classic recorded with Alex Gopher. Gopher crossed paths with The Subs before , when he remixed the heavy ‘My Punk’ in 2009. His most recent appearance on Lektroluv dates back to last year, when he remixed Mumbai Science’s ‘Lotus’.
On so many occasions, The Subs have shared a bill with the mighty Zombie Nation, the band of Florian Senfter aka John Starlight. The forceful, military rhythm of ‘Outta Your Head’ is a shameless attack on the midriff.
The young  up-and-coming Belgian producer Blatan  collaborates on the playful EP closer ‘Electric Bodies’.

A new album is planned for 2014. With this EP however, The Subs confirm their firm roots in the club scene.

classic Beatles, romantic to the bone and true when you're under the spell of someone special. If you're not and who can blame you in these cold days of economic dictatorship, of supply and demand, why not just shout it out TAFO style: 'Bring Me Love'. 

Or howl with the house wolves like Suptil (Union Jack) in their deep and funky airwolf reinterpretation. Melting hearts, a real love magnet this one. Teenage Mutants  (OFF Recordings) return to no brainer bringing us some love to via bassline. Hypnotizing the floor. I can see millions of dancers with hearts in their eyes.

But back to the star of this show: TAFO brings not only love but something to push everyone over the edge a little bit. The 'Makeup' makes up for lots of meaningless music which pours down on us every day. Listen here if you wanna reclaim the power you need to love life thru bass.

'Never' say never. Especially to this one. Soulful, broken, groovy, unique. The best 'Never' I ever heard in my life. Hands down. Usually I don't enjoy these so much. Don't we all.

It’s only been two years since Mumbai Science appeared on the music radar but they’ve managed to leave an unquestionable impression. Their tracks Ancova, Gold and Lotus got the support from all the big shots such as Boys Noize, Tiga and Brodinski, sending them on a surge to the EDM top ranks. The 2012 release of ‘The Unified Theory Trilogy’ confirmed their musical prowess and now they return to the plate with ‘Unite’, a new beat inspired record.

Touring around the world from Japan to Berlin to the USA, Mumbai Science got more in touch with the history that subsides in the darkest corners of the scene. Their new EP reflects a small gritty club where you have to rely on your ears to navigate. Funky bouncing synths meet a typical Mumbai bass. Shinichi Osawa delivers with a blazing remix, which adds a little more spice to the original!

Last but not least on this release is a remix from Alex Gopher of one of their classic tracks, ‘Lotus’. The unquestionable energy from the original track combined with Gopher's subtlety results in a track, which is impossible not to dance to.

'Enter the Danger Zone'

Invitation comes courtesy of Malente & Breakfastklub. An intense piece of sonic excitement and an undeniable hit record. One foot in in the rave, half an arm in house, reminiscent of all that was good about electro (R.I.P) and happy like a clown on 'E'. This is a hit.

A.N.D.Y (Discotexas) likes it F.U.N.K.Y. It smells like spring here and you can hear the sunlight. Good vibes all over this remix. 

Donovans (Turbo Recordings) take on the 'Danger Zone' sounds like pure love, like the butterflies in your stomach when you dance barefoot at some hippie-rave. 

The Sneekers (GND Records) definition is slightly different, but none the less captivating. They get their war drums out and start jamming. This just sounds so dangerous that you almost wanna cry for help.

To complete the package Malente delivers a love letter to all those listening in form of a Chicago influenced rump shaker. You probably won't hear that he loves Prince, but the track name 'I 1 U 2 Love' might give you a hint. A tune to guide you out of the danger zone.

Polymorphic: real name is Oleg Kazakov, is a promising musician from Russia who shares studio rooms with The Proxy in a Moscow District based studio. Polymorphic first released his debut single ‘Toxication’ under the American label Sweet Rains Records in 2008. Later that year he appeared as a remixer on The Proxy's "Raven" EP on Turbo Recordings. Feedback for this remix of "Raven" was enormous, and many producers/DJ's prefer it to the original. In 2009 there were several successful releases such as the Technomusic EP (recently, he was taken to the show "CSI NY"), Gaze EP and remixes of Fukkk Offf, AutoKratz, Robot Disaster, Lions At Your Door and Proxy "Who Are You?" EP on Turbo Records, which all have high popularity and great feedback. In the Summer of 2010 his new EP titled "Rock to Play" was released on Mako Records and "Apocalypse" on Coco Machete. Soon to follow in Fall of 2010 was his massive remix of Hey Today's track "Strange".In 2011 was remixes on Hazel, The W, Dilemn, Teenage Bad Girl, The Subs and Autodidakt. Also in 2011 was a mega release "Opposition"
collaboration with Marseille with plenty of remixes. 2012 began with the release on Lektroluv Records "Chicks Love The Car / Hocus Pocus" EP and remixes on Frederic de Carvalho and D-R-U-N-K Vs Marseille. Polymorphic's music can better be described as nuclear warfare for your ears.
