Since the beginning of Cityscape Sessions with show #001, all the way through this month's #206, Blake Sutherland has served as the show's the musical director, if you will. His sound has evolved, which can clearly be heard by listening to the early mixes, but the ethos of Cityscape Sessions has remained largely unchanged. Lush atmosphere, cutting edge grooves, and infectious melodies have always been at the centre of the show. This month's mix is, of course, no exception. When we say we have a new signature mix from Blake, you know you can expect a trippy, unique ride. I had such a great time celebrating capital pride and supporting this fundraiser for Rainbow Brick Road - an Ottawa-based private refugee sponsorship group committed to raising funds and providing multifaceted supports in resettling a LGBTQ refugee couple from the Middle East to Canada.

OK Sessions #52

Biography: 
Born on the outskirts of Toronto, Farhan found his way into the rave scene at the tender young age of 19. He quickly developed a niche for himself as a raver, a DJ, and a co-founder of the "Untitled" DIY event series. He gathers his inspiration through shared moments on the dance floor - as this is the place that unites us all.

This inspiration can be found in his DJ sets, as he likes to take dancers on journey through the various scopes of electronic music. Though the focus is on techno, you wont be surprised to hear tinges of ambient, industrial, electro, ghetto, EBM, and everything in between.

In addition to his DJ'ing endeavours, Farhan has been apart of the local Toronto techno scene working with, and organizing a well known series of events called "Untitled". His involvement with Untitled has allowed him to push the sound of techno throughout the city, striving to create spaces for like-minded techno lovers, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and its allies all under one roof.

Now living in Berlin, Farhan is continuing his journey as a DJ and representative in the industry. Currently he is working with Quest Agency as a booking agent, and has played DJ sets at: Griessmuhle, STAUB (://About Blank), Kantine Am Berghain, and Club Church (Amsterdam - LockeRRoom sex party).

Inspired by Progressive, Deep & Minimal House from the 2005-2009 Era, Pithra's journey as a DJ started in 2010. From intimate house parties to clubs and festivals. @Pithra is a versatile DJ who has a passion for music with a selection ranging through Deep. Prog, Minimal, Melodic, Afro, Tribal House & Techno taking listeners on a journey that moves humanity.

Having performed across Canada, Pithra is looking forward to bringing quality sets to music fans around the world. As a hardware enthusiast Pithra enjoys using Samplers and FX generators to add unique layers to his mixes. For this mix he used Traktor F1 loaded with a wide range of samples going on top of the tracks to add a unique touch. 

Pithra's passion goes beyond mixing music, he is the co-founder of Music.Art.Ppl, an Ottawa based music and art collective, with a focus on immersive curated experiences. These events incorporate a diverse selection of music teamed with live painting, visual projections and decor.
