One of the Philadelphia area’s best kept secrets, The Danger O’s have been a consistent and prolific power pop machine for the past eight years. They have released something every year since 2008, when they put out their debut full length on Creep Records, the polished, hooky 'Nineteen Ninety Four,' which was preceded by their 2006 Creep released EP, 'Little Machines.'

'Massively Intimidating Episodes,' their 2009 Creep Records EP, released as a double 7”, was a stripped-down garage rock set that hinted at the direction they would commit to on their second full length, 'The Danger O’s Play Their Hits.’ A sprawling, self recorded, 18 song lo-fi genre hopping statement, ‘Play Their Hits’ showed off The Danger O’s ability to play any style - surf, punk, shoegaze, psychedelia, jangle pop, alternative rock - without sacrificing their signature sound. 

After releasing the EP, ‘The Danger O’s Present A Sequence,’ the band began working with Tree Machine Records, and began to get positive attention from blogs including Philly Underbelly, Green Hearts Blog, Adobe and Teardrops, Exploding Head Syndrome and more.

The Danger O’s are also a powerful live act. They have played Philadelphia venues including the Trocadero, Kung Fu Necktie, Milkboy, the North Star, and Golden Tea House. They played the final show at the legendary West Chester venue, The Note. They have played the Vans Warped Tour and South by Southwest, and played shows in Delaware, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC. 

Currently, The Danger O’s are readying the release of their third full length, ‘The Danger O’s Turn It Up.’ Ten songs featuring big guitars and bigger hooks, ‘Turn It Up’ bridges the gap between the power pop artists of the 1970s (Big Star, Cheap Trick and Elvis Costello) and the indie rock bands of the early 1990s (Pavement, Superchunk and Built to Spill). The record is currently streaming and available for download, with CD, cassette and vinyl pre-orders at thedangeros.bandcamp.com
