If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Hello again friends and Listeners,

It Delights me to celebrate the 8th birthday of one of my eldest 'Musical Children'.  Her name is 'Tiramisu'.  Pronounced - Tear - Ah - Mih - Su 

In foodie talk, her name alludes to what one might call a 'Pick-Me-Up'.  ;-)
I named her after the delicious Italian Dessert made of Lady Fingers, Custard, Hazelnuts, and Chocolate!  MMM mnm mm .  

May She "Live Long and Prosper" !

It's a Big Band orchestral Fusion piece with all kinds of delicious phrases, sounds and rhythms within it. Composed over 2 months in 2016 on Saturna Island here, it has some 24 layered tracks, and i trust you'll find it a surprising change from the simple but passionate organic improvs i've been posting lately.  :-D

Here's how composer Francesco Adornetto described it.

"A joyful burst of color and rhythm — Tiramisu is as rich and layered as its namesake. With a really eclectic, multi-genre sound, it blends nu jazz, big band, and electronic elements into a playful celebration that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Popfuture is the work of Edmund Ward, an electronic musician based in North London. He has been writing music since the mid-nineties and saw some success back in the day with a band called Eggboy in which he collaborated with his brother John Jo Ward. Edmund originally comes from Malvern in Worcestershire and draws inspiration from his fairly unusual upbringing, living in the middle of nowhere, in a terrifying Victorian house and the youngest of a family of 11 children (all by the same Catholic parents). As luck would have it, Ed's taste in music is also catholic (small c). Drawing on transcendent melodies from Thomas Tallis to Brian Eno, the fine quantised beats of Kraftwerk, the complexity and humour of Aphex Twin, the sneer of Lou Reed, the mystique of Pink Floyd (prior to Gilmour's appalling last three albums) and the hugeness of Justice (French duo). Ed is pretty much switched on by any genre of well crafted music, art, comedy or film.
