ARPRAXIS is a vinyl DJ, Techno, House and U.K. breaks artist. The music is electronic and genre-fused. Music from the soul. Inspired by early Detroit artists like Carl Craig, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. The early 90s Hardcore, Jungle and DnB magic makes up a majority of my record collection topped with hard-hitting gabber, techno and tracks from Detroit that still give me goosebumps…Red Planet ‘Star Dancer’ and Casey Tucker for example are sublime. Experimenting with electronic beats, samples, synths and some spoken word

   I have been writing songs since I was about 10 years old, maybe even a bit longer as I can recall being younger than that and strumming a toy guitar and singing some sort of melody. I can play the keys a little bit and that’s where I write my songs at the keyboard, because I don’t have a band behind me, at the moment songs are recorded using keyboard presets as backing music with me singing over into my iPad. 
  I’m in the process of changing my setup and will soon start using a laptop and a keyboard to make hopefully a more unique sound, at least I hope more professional.
  I hope that you enjoy my music, that’s why I make it, because I enjoy it and I want other people to as well.

Popfuture is the work of Edmund Ward, an electronic musician based in North London. He has been writing music since the mid-nineties and saw some success back in the day with a band called Eggboy in which he collaborated with his brother John Jo Ward. Edmund originally comes from Malvern in Worcestershire and draws inspiration from his fairly unusual upbringing, living in the middle of nowhere, in a terrifying Victorian house and the youngest of a family of 11 children (all by the same Catholic parents). As luck would have it, Ed's taste in music is also catholic (small c). Drawing on transcendent melodies from Thomas Tallis to Brian Eno, the fine quantised beats of Kraftwerk, the complexity and humour of Aphex Twin, the sneer of Lou Reed, the mystique of Pink Floyd (prior to Gilmour's appalling last three albums) and the hugeness of Justice (French duo). Ed is pretty much switched on by any genre of well crafted music, art, comedy or film.

Also, since starting submitting to BBC Radio 6 DJ Tom Robinson's ‘Fresh on the Net’ in January 2024, they have been featured 15 times in Eclectic Picks, selected for the Listening Post 5 times and a featured Fresh Fave in September 2024 and June 2025. 

Think a blend of Avicii, Chemical Brothers & Prodigy (ie melodic electronic music fused with eclectic/alternative elements). Also House, Progressive, Trance & EDM Producer.
