Cantante y letrista de Barcelona amante del reggae y otras músicas conscientes, de ahi su mensaje social y líricas afiladas en cada una de sus canciones. 

En 2006 empezó con Buckshott Sound y en 2013 publicó sus 2 primeros singles con el sello barcelonés U-Vibes ("Vivo en un País..." y "Ser Egoísta"). 
Pero es en 2016, con su primer álbum "Nytto Dread meets Bass Culture Players", donde muestra su visión personal del género y habilidad lírica. 
100% en castellano y producido en Discoinferno Studio (Madrid) por Santi Mijarra (Bass Culture Players) con músicos de bandas cómo Hotdrop, Emeterians, Forward Ever Band y Kinky Coocoo's entre otras. 

Actualmente, trabajando en su segundo álbum junto a Bass Culture Players y girando con su banda The Rootskank.

Black Quartz is the alter ego of Lucas Urbano. This introverted observer sounded and escaped from labels and established stereotypes. Listen, analyze and evolve are important to him, especially when speaking of electronic music and new trend aspects. The influences in his productions are loaded with groove and evocative moments, fusing styles like Electronic, Downtempo, Trip Hop, Broken Beat, Nu Jazz, Lounge and Chillout. Black Quartz always tries to seek elegance in his productions, but more importantly that the public does not remain indifferent in the worlds he creates.
It's like imagining another classic dusk and what happens, when your mind finds it difficult to believe what your ears hear. It's Black Quartz.
