but I was too damn depressed
I even looked inside myself
but there was nothing but neglect

		nothing wrong with satisfactory
		we can’t all be genius’ my friend
	as long as there’s still sympathy to lend

now that my song is almost done
I think it’s safe to say
it’s not half bad as  some songs go
who even knows it might get played
	but don’t you worry - don’t you fret
	I won’t let it go to my head
	that’s okay - at least I tried anyway
