Cedar Moon is the first track released from a 3 song EP called “Earth Keepers” produced by Shaman’s Dream, Poranguí and Eric Zang.

The song was a gift to Sahuna from an old growth Cedar Tree under the full moon at his home in Nevada City. When recorded, it was done in one take with Shaman’s Dream on Hang Drum, Poranguí on Ngoni, Eric Zang on Kaval Flute and Beats created by Geometrae.

Cedar Moon reflects the healing energy that comes from opening, listening and allowing spirit to work through us. Trusting in the power of being in the moment and improvising from a place of deep listening.

The Earth Keepers project emerged from a personal inquiry between Poranguí and Sahuna Love (Shaman’s Dream) around what it means to be better stewards of our sacred Earth Mother. At the core of this question came the understanding that we are each bodies comprised of the Earth elements and can only care for Mother Gaia when we cultivate & care for our body in relation to a place.

Guided by the principles of reciprocity and complementarity we are more capable of living in right relation to the elements and all of life. Rooted through the body & inspired from the breath, we dance & sing as an offering to life helping us conduct ourselves through the world and everyday choices with care for this precious planet we call home.

Throughout human history and across most native traditions, constant repetitive rhythms and the steady drone of chanting have carried shamans and other spiritual seekers into other dimensions in ecstatic trance. Shaman's Eye brims with multi-layered currents of sound and chanting woven around a steady stream of theta rhythms. These provocative rhythms are designed to tap into our own ancestral depths and call us into the secret worlds of trance. Each of these musical landscapes is alive with its own distinctive spirit energy. As they carry us forward they become the vehicle for our journeys.

In the true spirit of musical alchemy, Amani Friend blends his technical skills with his innate understanding of the power of sound and vibration to heal and transform. Yoga, Meditation, and body-mind awareness have finally taken root in the West. People are becoming deeply passionate about their health and are diving in. And with this growth we’ve seen the emergence of a new genre of music that caters to this practice, with inspiring compositions from bands like Desert Dwellers. Altar record’s latest release is a homage to this sound, and a chance for you to get back to your center and breath.


Yoga Temple is the result of a chance meeting between Astral Waves (aka DJ Zen) and the lovely and talented Aurelie Morgane (aka AEolia) at a festival in 2013. Struck by their common love of meditation, yoga, and beautiful open spaces, the two decided to team up at Altar headquarters. A magnificent view of the forest served as their principle inspiration, and helped give birth to this project which is set to be released around December 2015.


With track lengths that average twenty minutes, this is the perfect soundtrack for relaxation, letting go, giving or receiving a massage, yoga, meditation and just generally feeling great. The music is spiritually uplifting, warm and enveloping.


Aurelie plays several flutes including the Indian Bansuri. An experienced, expressive solo player, her proficiency allows her to tune in and completely improvise. DJ Zen takes care of the production side with pads and synthesizers, with lush sounds that unfold organically and give the listener an incredible sense of space. The compositions flow like a river, ever shifting, yet on course, allowing you to travel to places that you alone hold the key.
