Most roads don’t start where the map says they do. They start in the moment you realize you’re tired of standing still. I’ve walked away from jobs, towns, and one or two catastrophes that were mostly my own creation. What I’ve learned is simple: you take the first step, and the rest of the road argues with you until it gives in.

I’m a retired soldier, proud to have served 20 years in uniform. Though I’m recognized as a disabled veteran due to severe back and neck injuries, I refuse to let that define my limits. These days, I drive a truck across the country—still moving forward, still working, still chasing purpose on the open road.

My mind never stops turning, and while I don’t keep a traditional journal, I’ve found my own way to process life: through music. Most of the songs I write are pulled straight from my own experiences. The rest come from the way I see the world—sometimes clear, sometimes cracked, but always honest. I’ll let you decide which is which.

I was married for 28 years before losing my wife unexpectedly. Her memory still travels with me on every mile. I have three grown children who remind me that strength comes in many forms. When I’m not working, you’ll find me on my Harley, exploring the backroads of Texas, chasing peace and a little bit of freedom.

After years of experimenting with sound and genres, the project GH0ST.exe was born — featuring male vocals by Kay and female vocals by Nova.
This duo embodies the idea of a digital soul divided into two opposing voices.

I started my experiments in Synthwave and Retrowave, blending retro-futuristic atmospheres with the power of Metal.
Over time, I discovered new ways to merge Alt Metal, Nu Metal, Rapcore, and Metalcore with unconventional elements — extreme vocals, heavy riffs, breakdowns, and even saxophone.

That fusion gave birth to a unique sound — NeoGloom Metal — a genre where dark electronic aesthetics collide with the fury of metal, the aggression of rapcore, and the emotional depth of jazz.

Five-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated Tauren Wells debuted his solo music in 2017 with the dance-able pop hit, “Love Is Action”, which held the No. 1 spot at CHR radio for eight weeks and the hard-hitting “Undefeated” featuring rapper KB. Those hits were then followed by the GRAMMY-nominated and RIAA Certified GOLD  “Hills and Valleys”, the piano and cello-driven thought-provoking track that quickly climbed the radio and sales charts and jumped to the Top 10 at the Christian Airplay radio chart for multiple weeks. The following single, “When We Pray” reached #2 at Christian Radio, and third single, “Known”, spent multiple weeks at #1 on the Billboard Christian Radio Airplay chart.  The fourth and current single, “God’s Not Done With You”, is charting in the top 5. Tauren’s talents as music artist, songwriter, worship leader and performer are second only to his commitment to be an excellent husband and father, and his deep desire to draw people closer to their identity in the Lord.
