Poseidon is Adrian Zuanic’s psytrance project. Based in Sydney, Australia, he creates music with an eclectic mix of feelings and styles.
The techno side of the project smoothly integrates inspiration from the progressive side of psytrance into the deeper, rumbling tribal hypnosis of minimal techno with swampy, slowly building atmospheric imagery that carries the listener on a journey into a tropical fantasy land. His psytrance integrates melodic morning psy with a progressive layering of sounds, broken beat interludes and darker biomechanical textures into a spine twisting, foot stomping explosion of funk, psychological tweakery and emotive, spacey melodies.
Classically trained on the violin from the age of 5, he draws inspiration from those roots and flourishes it with the sonic alchemy of modern electronic synthesis and sampling. In 2008 he began producing psytrance and has since released tracks on compilations and an EP for UP Records and Kinematic Records.
