I was raised by a single mother after my father passed on in South Africa on the 1st of June 1993.
 
My music is hip hop rap music that is driven by my passion to be successful in everything I do, being an African that grew up in America, I use both cultures and mix them together to create a dope new sound called AFRO-TRAP music which the structure of the song consists of a heavy 808 drums and a hard base line mixed with a catchy hook to get the people to interact with the music something that any and everyone can relate to. It is inspired by my mother who always encouraged me to believe in myself and to dream big so for a long time I would always have so many dreams and never understood which dream to pursue.
 
My stage name KOMOFLAGE came about when I lived in US it was always hard to keep a straight path especially being that African kid that everyone was enthusiastic about so I would find myself having to adapt to my environment and different situations.
 
I first recorded a song in my music class when I was in the 9th grade at first I didn't understand anything about making complete music from structuring the idea into an actual song people would here it was more of freestyle rap so it was a gradual process for me until I learned to express myself and talk about things that actually made sense and where a reality.
 
My first mixtape which was called YOU SEE ME was released in 2013 and was successful on the local scene. It featured one of my biggest songs PARTY ANIMAL which i shot a video to and promoted but due to me trying to balance a full-time job, school, a music career and hustling I had to face reality and choose what to focus my 100% energy on. So after finishing and completing my degree in Music Business and Management I decided to drop out of school quit my job and pursue music on a full-time basis. I hustled from selling mix tapes on street corners to travelling from state to state trying to push my music to different parts of the US which saw me open up for acts like E-40 , TEDDY RILEY AND BLACKSTREET, CHRIS BROWN AND 50 CENT with other shows headlined by myself and my best friend RNB Singer Possession. 

Working on my second project I faced alot of distractions from the negativity that came with being an African American hip hop artist, so I decided to move back home and create music that was inspired by everything that I went through from being harassed by police to selling drugs just to support my music to facing criticism from my family for dropping out of university. It helped me learn alot and in mid 2014 I met and got signed to my manager and mentor Mr Chisola Anthony Likai aka Tony Eastpoint who introduced me to different producers and studios where I took time to learn and study the Zambian music industry. I began recording at Slap D's studio where I found producers and an engineer who understood my sound and type of music. The first single which will be released with a video called PRAY. Pray means alot to me because for the first time I stepped out of my comfort zone and spoke about things I never spoke about before like about my god daughter whom i raise after my best friend was shot and killed in a drive by shooting in Sacramento California.
 
The project which I will release mid 2016 is called MONEY IS EVERYTHING and I have lot of dope music and great features such as T-Sean, F Jay, Koby, Bobby East and some international features like Symple from Ghana and many more which I will announce at the right time.

Before his untimely death at the age of 28 in December 2021, Drakeo the Ruler was unequivocally the voice of Los Angeles street rap. Born Darrell Caldwell, Drakeo earned his first round of buzz from 2015's I Am Mr. Mosely tape, but established himself as a force whose impact would be felt far beyond Los Angeles city limits with 2017's Cold Devil. Drakeo's rap style was both menacing and conversational, the MC rarely emoting beyond a
sort of ransom-call Whisper. His reign as the voice of LA was marked by intervals of incarceration, Cold Devil having been recorded in 10 days of freedom that followed a nearly year-long stint in jail. Another bout of incarceration, ending in November 2020, sparked a remarkably consistent creative tear for the MC, with Drakeo releasing We Know the Truth, Because Y'all Asked, The Truth Hurts, A Cold Day in Hell, Ain't That the Truth, and So Cold I Do Em 2 in the span of a year. Drakeo the Ruler's voice could be found alongside any number of his LA contemporaries (Ralfy The Plug, 03 Greedo, Bino Rideaux, Blxst), but he also counted some of the biggest names in hip-hop among his fans-like Drake, who, in learning of The Ruler's
fatal stabbing, posted a picture from the MC's time modeling for his OVO
clothing label, writing that his "Talk to Me" collaborator had "always picked
my spirit up with your energy. RIP Drakeo."
