Thank You 2017!
Possibility Screams 2018!!
I find life really exciting and a wonderful adventure.   2017 was definitely not boring, certainly entertaining, busy and full of colour.  
 I wanted to capitalise on my young artists’ first album called, First Light which was released in 2016 by encouraging them to start releasing their own singles.   Well, that happened in a fantastic way and the musical journey continues to unfold!   I want to give you some exciting highlights from 2017 and let you know what is coming up in 2018!! 
This Year 
We played at a Cash for Kids event at Seamill Hydro, went on radio with Ronnie McGhie at Irvine Beat FM, played local events; FreshAyr, Burnsfest, Prestfest as well as featuring at both the Ayr and Kilmarnock Christmas lights switch on events.
The Connection (Scott Hewitt and Kirsty MacLeod) formed a duo and released 2 great singles, The Streets and The Abandoned Highway. 
Limitless (Campbell Smith and Emily V) joined forces and released the very catchy, The Promise of Summer along with a video shot on Troon Beach.
Michael Crawford teamed up with Emily Rutter and together they have recorded 2 wonderful songs to be released in 2018, The Ballad of Growing Up and Never Forgotten.    Michael will also be putting out an E.P. next year on which both tracks featuring on it.
Evie O’Hagan Hughes recorded her 2nd single, Fake which is a banging dance tune that will be out in early 2018.   
We shot 6 videos with Olivia Campbell for her YouTube channel and you should start to see them from early 2018. 
Lori Smith went viral with a 9 minute video shot by Ayrshire Daily News at a Fresh Ayr Live busking event in February.   She was featured on STV Glasgow’s Riverside show and also re –released her debut single, I Want to Come Home.   All these tracks can be found on iTunes and Spotify or will be available in 2018 (see links below).
On a personal level I had the great honour to go and sing in the USA with an amazing anti human-trafficking organisation called Hope for Justice in October, played Winterstorm in Troon for the first time in November, hosted a preliminary audition session for TV show, The Voice and started a guitar class in Kingcase Primary School.   In addition I continued to host open mic nights at Elliots in Prestwick and The Tam O’ Shanter in Ayr as well as playing a number of local gigs across Ayrshire.
2018
2018 holds so much promise as some of my singers/songwriters are releasing new material and one is launching her own YouTube channel.   I am hoping to hold a big event early in the year to showcase these wonderful performers.   
I am also part of Prestwick Town Twinning Association and it looks like I will be going to Italy with them in April which will see me play some gigs just outside Rome.   As always the USA will be in my sights so here’s to another year of adventures in 2018!   Thanks for all your support and encouragement….Scott x.
