Lein Sangster is a singer/songwriter  their songs are beautifully crafted pop laments elegantly and simply constructed , woven with heartfelt passion that are both melancholic and celebratory . Adding to the three studio albums already out there with other music projects , Sangster releases the long awaited debut solo album  In Spite of Everything , The Stars  in  early June  2025  check out singles Why Didnt I Say , Library Fines and current single History Repeatin' from the record 
Sangster previously recorded as Bad Anorak 404, the acclaimed second album in 2006 LP All In Miniature is jam-packed with gorgeous jazz/folk ballads and blues numbers mixing Brill Building classic compositions with odd pop DIY experimentation. At times Bad Anorak 404 came across like Keyboard Money Mark backing Terry Callier or Julie London singing the Broadcast songbook. Uncut described it as ‘an intrepid, boundlessly rewarding delight’

 Dipping in the past of their music career its worth mentioning that Sangster fronted a  group called  Kit an out queer band in the homophobic late 80s, they recorded 4 singles and an album Unshakeable Faith. Liz Naylor writer / NME music journalist at that time said of them ‘Kit make a tough, emotionally indefinable music that carried a lineage from Fred Neil, Laura Nyro and Patti Smith reimagined as the Go-Betweens from Liverpool one of the great underground outfits of the late 1980s ' A compilation was released in November 2024 called Picture Postcards Dreams Unsungs songs .
Sangster also writes for screen and has wrote soundtracks for an impressive number of documentary and  indie film features and continues to do this along side writing songs.  At some point in the future a third Bad Anorak album will be released on the Chemin de Fer label

Jethro “ALONESTAR” Sheeran
Formerly a model at the acclaimed Storm agency, Jethro Sheeran featured in a number of worldwide commercials, including Prada, Coca-Cola and Calvin Klein, not to mention
appearing alongside Sylvester Stallone in the blockbuster movie, Judge
Dread.
Sheeran’s breakthrough into the music industry came in 2011 when he signed a publishing deal with EMI, for his album Warrior - a six track EP featuring Jaia Soze, Rosie Ribbons and first cousin, Ed Sheeran. The same year he was also awarded the Best Urban Song and Best Male Artist 2011 at the Exposure Music Awards.
Now established as a recognised name within the music industry for his contributions to hip-hop and urban pop, in the capacities of singer- songwriter and producer, Sheeran, now commonly known as ‘Alonestar,’ has amassed an impressive set of accolades.
In addition to his success as a solo artist, Sheeran has collaborated with some of the very best out there, including, Massive Attack, The Game, Royce da 5’9 , performed gigs with Amy Winehouse and has written and produced songs with cousin Ed. Performed in Moscow, Russia in front of 90,000 people and in December 2018 Sheerans ‘Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica’ album which included Stephen and Damien Marley, Ed Sheeran, Sean Paul, Sean Kingston, Sizzla ,Cronixx and many more. The album reached No1 on the Billboard Charts in February 2018, held the spot for Five weeks and didn’t drop below the No5 spot for a further 15 weeks.
Jethro Sheeran hosts his own “Alonestar” Show on Mix fm,prime time hour early evening every Saturday.
Working on his new album “Sunshine and rain” Produced By African Top Producer “Herbert Skillz” whom travelled from Uganda to London to record and collaborate with Sheeran. SunShine and Rain (release scheduled for Easter 2020) is a brand new 13 track album mixing afro beat, hip hop, r&b and pop featuring the great Julian marley, sizzla, Ed Sheeran, Capleton, Arianna amongst many other exciting features.
Sheeran has also recently worked on an exciting project with Mopreme Shakur (Tupac’s brother), involving a chorus from Tupac himself. The track, written and produced by Sheeran is very close to release. Watch this space for release dates.
