Helsinki based Common Labour gives birth to its second offering on this limited vinyl only release.

Continuing in the same vein of quality twisted deep house, pothOles unravels the Mahla EP. The title track Mahla gets the juices flowing with a hypnotic deep house groover. Serenades head honcho Roberto Rodriguez takes the remix reins and works Mahla into a more percussive and refined interpretation. It's an honour having him on the Common Labour imprint.

On the flip side, Gambler sleazes off into B-grade Italo disco spaghetti western territory. A possible soundtrack to a horror flick with Kenny Rogers stumbling into a truckers rest area after a messy night out. Rounding off the EP, Spoekhus picks up the pace and mood giving the handbag circle some ammo to shuffle their stilettos too. Cementing another polished offering from this artisan label.

A1 To start things off we proudly present Powel, who's EP (hands down the best EP of 2013) on Fina Records was what got us stoked to work with this producer. Swivel Fold is a slice of classic deep house that sends shivers through the goose bumps.
A2 Gambler by pothOles gets a total new interpretation from Saine - dubbed out, laid-back and lost in the jungle. Saine has fresh releases on Sleazy Beats Black Ops and Odd Socks under his belt, Finlands best export at the moment.
B1 Blasts off with Ghost Of Lust by Jussi-Pekka. The Frozen North main man with releases on Dessous and Poker Flat shows us that Norwegians aint the only cosmic cowboys in town. This italo-esque track is a sure shot for the hot summer months ahead.
B2 To complete the package Cossway shows his skills with a more techno driven floor filler as Boxwise unravels its percussive loop of Hollywood’s Devilish leading man. Simple, moody and effective. Watch out for Cossway's artist album due out on Moscow's finest, Deepology.

His buddy Yaniel joins the party, collaborating on two tracks. The guys go way back to 2003 with their boy band days as the A.M. Specialists trio (comprising Samuli Kemppi, Yaniel, & pothOles). Most renowned for "Polar Zoo”, Danny Tenaglia's power play at the Vinyl Club back in the day.

As you hear, their musical alchemy hasn’t dwindled one bit though. Much like the fading autumn light of a forest lake, this is tasteful deep-house at its most nostalgic and seductive. A1 Mirage Man, born Roope Karhunen, has fingers in many pies. Producing, performing and steering two record labels, this man does it all. Fusion of noisy and raw rhythm section, sub bass and dub stabs in this track make a mean combo.
A2 Common Labour head honcho pothOles is back again with a funky tool. Tabarnac is a mixture of live drumming and 303 licks in a skilfully produced manner. Dreamy yet refreshing.
B1 Roberto spins silk with his old school rendition of the future - a fusion of deep house, latin, old school electro. Surprisingly functional and unique combination which will challenge the audience to bust a few breakdance moves on the dance floor.

“I Still Hang Around” goes the deep haus mantra from Clouded House (Lobster Distribution) label boss Lukas Lyrestam. Stockholm born but currently based in London he had this to say about the record… “Hang Around is equal parts club-tool and introspective banger, for the moment you should be leaving but you got nowhere else to go. Scandinavian Masters is a solid gold thumper harkening back to the glory days of Jesper Parnevik.”

On the flip-side two alternative versions give the tracks new legs. Common Labour alumni Powel (fresh off a tour with Lee Burridges’ All Day I Dream outfit) delivers a smooth house odyssey remix while X-Kalay mainstay Kask goes 100% techno on a remix that takes no prisoners.
