Paris ; Its grey tar, its brutal pigeons and its heavy air. It’s typically what Adrien, Antoine, David and Douglas try to avoid. The four comrades feel at ease in less urban spaces, CABUCO is that exotic fantasy. 

David and Douglas - coming from BURNING PEACOCKS and FLO MORRISSEY respectively - give the project its 90’s pop rhythmics to which is added the soft melancholia of Antoine and Adrien. Resulting in a quartet mixing absurdism and low-brow humor.  ​

Pourquoi "Poussin" ?

Je vous vois venir.

A question simple, réponse évidente.

Tout d'abord, Poussin, comme son nom l'indique, est un groupe. 

Un groupe de quatre musiciens issus de formations emblématiques de la scène montpelliéraine. The Chase, Scotch & Sofa, et Volin. 

Ces gens là ont travaillé avec Oxmo Puccino, Piers Faccini, ou Mark Plati (producteur de Bowie, entre-autres).

Ensuite, Poussin, vous l'aurez deviné, chante en anglais. 

Une musique folk, rock, et pop. Sensible et habitée. Ca dépend. Poussin n'est pas monomaniaque. 

Un son précis, sculpté, singulier. Un guitariste, un bassiste, un omnichord et un batteur. 

Et une voix.

Beirut qui chanterait du Grizzly Bear. Ou Arcade Fire qui reprendrait The Smiths.

Tout est dit.

Poussin, en somme.
