The "Croisière du monde", our collaborative album in progress with Roberto B (@user-55822457 and @robertoiib) that focuses on film music but with much variation and cross-genre influences, gains speed today with its 3rd track, "La tempête" - or, in English translation, "The Storm". We hope you'll enjoy it, as it seems to have been the case with the preceding two tracks in this album here on SoundCloud.

The track was created in collaboration on 29 September and 10 October 2021 (initial and subsequent mix and recording in MAGIX by Roberto B), 9 and 13 October 2021 (intermediate and further additions, mix and recording in GarageBand and Logic Pro by Alex M) and 14 October 2021 (final recording and mix in Logic Pro by Alex M), and posted on SC on 15 October 2021 (by Alex M).

The artwork cover for the album and all its constituent tracks was designed and implemented by Alex M on 29 June 2021 (in Tayasui Sketch in Mac OS), cropped by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 30 June 2021, and annotated with text by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 2 October 2021 - in coordination and agreement with Roberto B.

Thank you so much, Roberto - for the beautiful musical ideas that inspire again our new collaborations in this ongoing "musique de film" - and more - album, "Croisière du monde"!

Curious how cats are, he docked at the station and entered it.
Although the station was deserted, someone or something seemed to be watching him.

Will Space Cat be able to solve the mystery of the abandoned space station and escape his pursuer?

But thence the Noel star aglow; sapphire blue flashing light of hope,
Above the seething forlorn lines is surely set to rise.
As if upon the migrant three we know, kings mimicking the trope.
Man meets man’s humanity in heartfelt care, lives to de-commoditise.

And when trafficker before the final audit bashful, fain appears,
Rancid cash in offshore banks o’erflowing billowed surplus well.
From credit to the debit side we glance, and see a soul in deep arrears;
The ledger to be set aside, replaced with first class trafficked seat to hell.

When the Virgin Mother’s tears ease at last of speared pain,
When satan’s armies’ magazines vast of vice are finally spent,
When welcome arms cross razor wires, compassions fall as softest rain.
Christian helping hands of hope aspired shall end this fair lament.
…and so to this…a song of hope.

Just for a bit of fun, I decided to rework the C64 music to Outrun in a Latin style. I used to love this game, although I was pretty useless at it! I shortened the middle bit cos it was mega difficult!

When Ren and I decided to create another song, we initially thought about creating something soft and ethereal.  Then I had an idea, to create something more upbeat…and to Ren’s credit, she went with it.  Before long, we had created ‘Northern Lights’, a track that is anything but soft or slow.
