DEEP GECKO ENERGY is the first label release for DJ, producer and dancer Rowan Savage. Having cut his teeth in Warrang’s ballroom scenes - as both a dancer, DJ and producer under the name Guy Ruin - Savage’s practice takes its starting point within queer ballroom culture and the celebration of queer indigeneity.

Under a new moniker, salllvage, queer indigeneity becomes launched into space, and an offering to the burgeoning field of indigenousfuturism is made. Created from field recordings taken on his native Kombumerri country (located in South East so-called Queensland), Savage’s music channels his relationship to country within the esoteric landscape of club music. Sludgey, dubby, bass-y and tribal – Deep Gecko Energy is a release that crawls under the skin. Across each of the five tracks -  ranging from hard hitting dancefloor bangers to the more subtle rhythms of bass music - the listener is immersed within a constantly shifting field of textures, dynamics and grit that at once reaches forward into new sonic territories while harnessing a deeply familiar primal energy from within.

After «Compiled Works 2017-2019» including the famous from underground «Police Star Pablo», NVST makes a stellar comeback on Big Science with her debut album, «Drum in the Bass of Attention». Key player of the Swiss rave and dance music scene, NVST stays true to her nonconformist nature and brings up new dimensions to her sound in her latest work. Going back and forth between hopeful lightness and gritty despair, NVST listens to the world and echoes its confusion throughout ten tracks of fragmented textures and sensitive reflection. 

In this album, she  keeps one foot on the dancefloor and another one on the streets, bringing politics back to dance music via implacable statements and unforgiving basslines. With a very personal language, NVST moves the listener to take a look around. Ask yourself ?

Limited edition pressed on tape format, in a plastic recycled case, complete with a 12p insert with lyrics, designed by Warzou. Two tracks will be released as Single format, including remixes from Jan Loup & Warzou.

crescendoll is a Gamilaraay woman and Gadigal-based DJ. Selected for FBi's Dance Class 2020 program, she flirts with juke, jersey, footwork, hard drum, UK bass, garage and acid and is an appreciator of all things club. She is a regular on Eora’s dance floors and has played sets for outfits like Mince, Lefag, Athletica, Bizarro, Decay and Leak Your Own Nudes. 

Having played on some of the countries biggest stages Including,  Soft Centre, Pitch Music Festival and Beyond the Valley were super excited to have her be a part of the HER Transmission Mix Series family.
