LIVESTRONG
We reformed in November 2016 after a ten year hiatus. We have been all writing recording and gigging continuously over the intervening years. 

Steve 'BREEVE" Simms - Vocalist (thats me), front man and all round fruit n nut. Has been releasing albums with prog rock band "Roads To Damascus" over the last ten years. Released on their own UK label and US label Melodic Revolution. Over 30 yrs experience with a rake of songs and albums to his credit. Steve is a professional artist and designs all the bands artwork. Steve is also completely bonkers on stage.

Stu Bain - Drums. Previously with Christie Row and Snapdragon. Stu is the new boy, having joined in January 2017. His sound has pushed the band into new exciting writing areas.

Martin Mcdonald - Guitar hero. He is one of the best guitarists of his generation (we aren't saying which generation). With over 30yrs experience of continuous gigging, in original and cover band alike. His powerful rhythm / occasional solo flurries and big backing vocals are vital to the Livestrong sound. 

Stu Young - Bass. Probably the tallest man in Scottish rock if not the UK. 6 ft 8 in his socks. We have to choose venues carefully. That isn't his only talent. Big Stu is literally the rock and anchor of the band. Calm headed when all around is falling apart, his solid bass, is crucial to the LS sound.
He and Steve were in BREEVE in the early part of the 21st century and supported ASH, THE SUPERNATURALS etc etc with their quirky pop rock.

So what is the sound of Livestrong.

Their are catchy riffs and hooks and bouncing beats.

It would be wrong to name names, but for the purposes of a biography we have been called a cross between The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Iron Maiden, and sure they are good bands that we all like, but it would be prudent to include Faith No More, The Cult, Dream Theater, Guns N Roses, Rush and probably most of the heavy rock cannon. The boys love rock and there is no danger of them being ashamed of their onstage antics.

Dutch Master’s tireless effort to become a world class DJ and producer resulted in an impressive career that has taken him all over the world! He has been one of the headliners for massive events in the USA, South Korea, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Canada, Italy and many more. He performed at major festivals like Defqon.1, Creamfields and Dance Valley. This man has left his marks in the hardstyle scene!

Olaf started producing at the age of 15 in 1994 and spend a lot of time in the studio together with global superstars Showtek. His music was released at the famous record label Dutch Master Works and in 2013 he started his own record label Diffuzion Records. Next to producing and performing, Olaf coached young talents to help a new generation of producers.

With an endless list of hardstyle hits on his name, DJing around the world, remixed by the Noisecontrollers and number 1 positions at all music portals, you cannot deny Dutch Master has been one of the consistent leaders in the hardstyle scene for years.

My name is Thumpa and I've been DJ'ing since 1996. Blending heartfelt lyrics with big sing-along choruses the Moray based singer song-writer Danny Mortimer has been attracting attention throughout Scotland and beyond. 
Debut album "Out Of The Blue" was released in 2016 gaining him radio international air-play as well as live sessions with some of the biggest local radio stations in Scotland and praise from Clyde 1’s Ryan Borthwick and “The Godfather of Rock” Tom Russell.
 
The tracks “Waiting”, “Jackson”, “Go, On” and (fan favourite) “Stay With Me” have all reached various places in the Scottish New Music Charts, and also garnered interest from the New York based Record Label “Factory Fast Records”, to release two separate compilations CD’s featuring Danny’s music.
However, it is in the live setting that Danny thrives , whether that be playing solo or with his band of accomplished musicians. Main stage festival appearances at the likes of NXNE and Speyfest have beckoned, although the highlight so far has been playing the Glasgow O2 ABC in January.
2018 has already seen big announcements to be made. The album “Anything But Silent” was released in April 2018, spawning the singles “The Best In Everything” and “Anything But Silent” which both received worldwide radio airplay, with the latter being also featured on Jim Gellatly’s “Amazing Radio”.
With huge gigs already confirmed for this year, including a slot to play at this year’s “Belladrum”, Danny is keeping himself busy by constantly writing and recording, hoping to bring his music to a wider audience.
