It's a secret. In the Kali-yuga: Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa have combined into one form, and it is by worshiping that one form, which is Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu—who is the combination of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa—that Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura makes an explanation about, he says, " (ese) bṛndābane rādhā-śyāmer pa’be daraśan  gaura-kṛpā ha’le he."

He says, "Oh this is the most wonderful thing you are ever going to hear! This is the biggest news!" Turn off all other apps; they're not important anymore. There's only one thing that's important, and that is Rādhā and Krṣṇa have combined into one form, as Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. And if you come and bow down to the lotus feet of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and take his process of chanting the Hare Krṣṇa mahāmantra and spread it all over the world, then 'se se Vṛndāvane Rādhā-Śyāme pābe darśan.' You can enter into the pastimes of Rādhā and Krṣṇa, the love affair. The only thing that's worth thinking about: the love affair, the ādī-rasa that's going on in the spiritual world. And you'll be carried to the spiritual world by diving into the ocean of saṅkīrtan of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. You'll come up on the beach, and you'll drag yourself up on the beach after being washed away by the saṅkīrtan movement. You'll look up, and you'll see Rādhā and Krṣṇa and their divine pastimes by the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu!

Therefore, Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākur gave us this very special song to sing, to remember that the Kali-yuga, it's the worst age.

prāyeṇālpāyuṣaḥ sabhya 
kalāv asmin yuge janāḥ 
mandāḥ sumanda-matayo 
manda-bhāgyā hy upadrutāḥ (ŚB 1.1.10)

This means, according to sages at Naimiṣāraṇya, in this Iron Age of Kali, men have but short lives.Tell me if you agree! They are quarrelsome, lazy, misguided, unlucky, and always disturbed. However, if one dives into the ocean of saṅkīrtan and then swims for a while, you'll run into a beach, and when you crawl up on the beach, you'll look, and you'll see the pastimes of Rādhā and Krṣṇa by the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

Question: In regards to assimilating sinful reactions of disciples, what's your experience?

Excerpt from the answer: 
My experience is very practical, and that is that when you enter into any relationship, there's going to be a deep concern for the other person. For instance, I'll give you an example: Rādhanāth Swāmī, he has a few disciples, and recently, when I was speaking to him, he had been consoling a lot of people: before they were dying, while they were dying, then the families after, and practically just one after another.

And he said, "Yeah, that's a thing when you have disciples, because some of them die," and, I mean, they all do eventually, but maybe not before you, and then you're part of that. It's heart-wrenching when somebody you love passes away. And in the meantime, before that comes, when you're connected deeply to people who you care about in a spiritual relationship, they go through changes. You know, they make vows, and then they say, "Oh, I can't follow the vows now." Or they say, "You know, this happened in my life, and what do I do about that? Such and such hit me," and that keeps you up all night. I mean, I don't know about dreams, but definitely people calling late in the night with a text saying, "What do I do now? I got locked out of the house," or something like that. I mean, that's real-life experience of what happens. So, you know, it's on a very practical level.

When we love people, we have a deep relationship where we're part of their lives, and they're part of our lives, and that's something, you know, you want to take on if you love somebody and you want to help them. But you have to go through it with them. It's not compartmentalized. It's part of your life. They're part of your life, and you're part of theirs. And that's an all-encompassing experience. That's my experience of it.

Śrīla Prabhupāda once said something that stuck in my mind. He said, “You have to cheat death before death cheats you.” And for those who are financial accountants (I don’t know if there are any other kinds, I guess there are).we know the tax codes. Generally speaking, rich people don’t have anything. If you look at their financials, you’ll see they look like they don’t own anything. They fly in jets that are not theirs. They live in an apartment that is not theirs. They have a huge fund of money, but that belongs to the company. “They don’t have anything.”

So, how much tax do they pay, Accountants? Zero!  Because they don't have anything. This is the idea of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, in one sense also: I don't have anything. It's all Kṛṣṇa's. And whatever I hold on to will be taken, and then I’m cheated by the process of material nature, but if I preemptively donate it all to Kṛṣṇa, whatever I have, it all belongs to Kṛṣṇa.

Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura talks about this: "manasa deho geho jo kichu mor." He is saying, "All this stuff—house, what else does he name? My mind, my family—donated. It all belongs to Kṛṣṇa." Then that's reality, and one is situated properly. Bhaktivinoda is also saying, "jīv kṛṣṇa dās e biśvas korle to ār duḥkha nai." If you want to be free from unhappinéss, then just preemptively sign everything off to Kṛṣṇa. Say, "it all belongs to Kṛṣṇa, and I'm just a servant. I just work here, but nothing is mine."

Whoever hears this description of the process of practical devotional service very soon attains shelter at the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa in love and affection. (Cc Madhya 22.168)

An advanced devotee situated on the platform of spontaneity is already very expert in śāstric instruction, logic and argument. When he comes to the point of eternal love for Kṛṣṇa, no one can deviate him from that position, neither by argument nor by śāstric evidence. An advanced devotee has realized his eternal relationship with the Lord, and consequently he does not accept the logic and arguments of others. Such an advanced devotee has nothing to do with the sahajiyās, who manufacture their own way and commit sins by indulging in illicit sex, intoxication and gambling, if not meat-eating. Sometimes the sahajiyās imitate advanced devotees and live in their own whimsical way, avoiding the principles set down in the revealed scriptures. Unless one follows the six Gosvāmīs — Śrī Rūpa, Sanātana, Raghunātha Bhaṭṭa, Śrī Jīva, Gopāla Bhaṭṭa and Raghunātha dāsa — one cannot be a bona fide spontaneous lover of Kṛṣṇa. In this connection, Śrīla Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura says, rūpa-raghunātha-pade haibe ākuti kabe hāma bujhaba se yugala pirīti. The sahajiyās’ understanding of the love affairs between Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa is not bona fide because they do not follow the principles laid down by the six Gosvāmīs. Their illicit connection and their imitation of the dress of Rūpa Gosvāmī, as well as their avoidance of the prescribed methods of revealed scriptures, will lead them to the lowest regions of hell. These imitative sahajiyās are cheated and unfortunate. They are not equal to advanced devotees (paramahaṁsas). Debauchees and paramahaṁsas are not on the same level. (Cc Madhya 22.153,purport)

The following summary of the twenty-third chapter is given by Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura in his Amṛta-pravāha-bhāṣya. In this chapter Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu describes the symptoms of emotion and love and the awakening of one’s original loving relationship with the Lord, as well as the characteristics of a devotee who has actually attained that stage. He then describes the gradual increase of love of God up to the point of mahābhāva. He then describes the five divisions of attraction and how they continue. He also describes the mellow derived from conjugal love, which is the supreme emotion. Conjugal love is divided into two categories — svakīya and parakīya. Svakīya refers to loving affairs between husband and wife, and parakīya refers to loving affairs between two lovers. There are a number of descriptions in this connection. There is also a description of the sixty-four transcendental qualities of Kṛṣṇa and the twenty-five transcendental qualities of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī.
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu then describes those candidates who are eligible to taste the mellows of devotional service. Their fundamental natures and their varieties are also described. The Lord also informs Sanātana Gosvāmī about all the confidential paraphernalia of devotional service. He gives a description of Goloka Vṛndāvana, where the Lord is engaged in His eternal pastimes described in the Hari-vaṁśa. There is also an opposing description and a favorable description of keśa-avatāra. All these instructions are mentioned herein.
In this way Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu blessed Sanātana Gosvāmī, placing His hand on his head. Thus Sanātana received the power to describe these subjects in books like Hari-bhakti-vilāsa.

It's helpful if you do all the basics and then also try to follow the general instructions because then specific instructions may be needed later. It's kind of like when you take music lessons. If you take the general instruction—which is, "practice at least half an hour a day"—seriously, then the teacher will notice that this person is making advancement. Then there will be a need for more specific instructions about what the person could do.

If you don't even do that, you know, it's like, "I did it once, not every day, but just maybe once." Then what's the music teacher going to say? It's like, "Well just try to get to that point." But when people are following very strictly the basic things and also trying to do some service in an enlivened way, that's usually when there's a need for a personal instruction or that the person is noticed. I told the story before. One of my godbrothers.. (31:58)

A pure devotee becomes attached to Kṛṣṇa by hearing the Lord’s glories. The Lord’s glories and the Lord Himself are identical. One has to be qualified to understand this absolute truth; therefore one should be given a chance to associate with a pure devotee. Our Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is meant for this purpose. We want to create pure devotees so that other people will benefit by their association. In this way the number of pure devotees increases. Professional preachers cannot create pure devotees. There are many professional preachers of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam who read this work to earn their livelihood. However, they cannot convert materialistic people to devotional service. Only a pure devotee can convert others to pure devotional service. It is therefore important for all the preachers in our Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement to first become pure devotees and follow the regulative principles, refraining from illicit sex, meat-eating, gambling and intoxication. They should regularly chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra on their beads, follow the devotional process, rise early in the morning, attend maṅgala-ārati and recite Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and the Bhagavad-gītā regularly. In this way, one can become purified and free from all material contamination.
