Practical Senses band formed in 2009 in Ukraine. Encompasses various genres such as coldwave, electro, post-punk, synth-pop

The history of the band dates back to 2009, when Yuriy Baygush (at that time a member of the band Soundform) became acquainted with another musician — Olexandr Mylnikov. The main topics of their interest were keyboards and musical equipment. At the beginning of 2009 they created the first demo-record “Harpsichord and noise of the Marine Waves”, using chiefly vintage analog synthesizers and drum-machines. Musical cooperation was maintained through the internet and rare joint rehearsals, as the musicians were separated from each other by the distance of 450 kilometers.

At the same time, Practical Senses and the band Soundform recordered together cover-version of the songs “Corridor of Choristers”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian band “Scriabin”, and “The Cold Solitude”, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the band “Mournful Gust”) Both songs were released on the official music albums (collections) of the mentioned bands. The group Practical Senses also wrote background music for a game ”Drag the candy” (Apple iOS)
The first concert, for which session musicians were also involved, took place in 2010 and the first band’s album was released in 2011.
In 2014 an independent German label “Aldi-punk” became interested in the band and released it’s second album «Songs cycle about the decisive king» with a limited edition of cassettes. The album consisted of songs in English and Ukrainian and was sold and distributed mainly in the countries through Europe. 
In 2017 Practical Senses released a new album which was it’s third and entirely Ukrainian-language album. The lyrics of the songs were poems of Ukrainian writers including I. Franko, O. Bilash, M. Vingranovsky and others.
