Trance Angel Set NYE

Miguel Angel Castellini returns for a second time to the Practikal imprint with this melodic number 'Son of Heaven'. This time it comes in way of a double EP featuring an Uplifting remix by Andres Selada. Two very different tracks.... Miguel's original slightly slower than the remix but a beautiful uprising release that builds really well from the forefront. Stunning bass notes and vocal fx,  making it aptly named. A nice breakdown melody and another stunning addition to what is becoming a very impressive cv. The remix from Andres Selada is crisp and has a nice driving influence to it, keeping and highlighting the core features from the original, with very good attention to detail. A very good remix from Andres and an all-round nice release.

Mike Sang debuts for Practikal Black with a collaboration with a fellow Mexican and multi-Practikal releaser 'Dahnniel'. 'Stellium' is something special and deserves the early accolades it's receiving. Stunning opening sequence and the melody is so infectious you will be humming this for days to come after hearing it!! With great vocal fx shots, big fx and builds and effective acid lines.... this is Tech-trance at it's finest. The breakdown is immense and the attention to production detail is second to none. A crisp and chunky track with the ability to leave the trance fanatic breathless and wanting more. It is accompanied by a second track which is a rework by 'Dahnniel' himself, a bouncier version which is becoming a bit of a trademark sound for the young Mexican. A big hitter with lots of fx madness. His fills are infectious and the melody line is stripped back to leave room for more bosh. This gives the EP a great balance. This is a sublime take on the original and compliments the original well..... this solid Psy style Trancer works wonders and will tear some dancefloors a new one... It has all the beauty of the first with fantastic psy -infused elements combining to make this a stompers dream.... The melody plays a huge part in making this as effective as it is!! VaNISH returns to Practikal after brilliant remix duty for the White label for Nicola Maddaloni's release in May 2019. But this is pure filth from start, with dark undertones it sets the mood from the off. The kicks and builds at the start are dark and mysterious. The fx and fills are mustard, leading the line with the driving arps and lead sounds. Then comes the really well drilled and finely tuned breakdown....this will leave you wanting more and eagerly anticipating the drop. The build is sublime and the drop kicks ass.... This is a dirt-filled beauty and the Tech trancer and hard dance lover will be all over this release like a rash. A definite in our rekordbox.... what about yours? The melody is mesmeric and very catchy. Great work from the American based producer yet again. Big things expected every time from this man and Practikal is so proud of our association with him. Epic opening sequence and nice bass key changes are what we are expecting every time from 'Waen'. With a nice dropout ready for the breakdown, the melody line and keys come into play and they are different and mesmerising. Simple and effective lights the path and in this instance this is very true. A lovely trance build and the drop is one to savour.... melodic and punchy. Suits and fits the track perfectly. Titled 'Hypnotiq' which he's been well associated with with his radio show, this is a sign of his hard trance/hard house routes born again into a driving Trancer. Big CMV goes all out with this one, with harder edge kicks and crisp bass lines. The melody line throughout is effective and a sign of his influences. The breakdown melody is catchy and effective and does what it needs to and works really well throughout! The drop punches and the drive throughout the track leaves you wanting loop mode. Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
