For our second RMX-EP, four talented artists and friends have reworked SOS_CARLOSS's Three Bodies EP, creating fresh takes that still connect with the original sound. The remixes explore bass-heavy interpretations, experimental and atmospheric approaches, dubstep hitters, and garage rollers.

This remix EP features contributions from Chewlie, mmara, Superpuma, and DJ Aufregen. A big thank you to all of them for making this release happen!

With “Sortir la tête d'une pierre”, Victor Taranne (aka Tarez) delivers his first solo album in the continuum of ambient, dub and downtempo music. Inside it : naïvo-poetic melodies, infraterrestrial bass, strange, patched textures and recordings gleaned from Auvergne, Charente-Maritime, Seine-Saint-Denis and Amazonia. The listening is evasive and molecular: that of a world making and unmaking itself in the same movement.

Filled with doubt and incompleteness, “Sortir la tête d'une pierre” is also a tribute to a living being who spent half his life curled up inside a stone. Stimulated by a growing glow, he decides to emerge from his hole and explore the surrounding world, stumbling here and there over a few roots and wistfully recalling the mineral that welcomed him.

The tracks (with the exception of “Interlude” and “Kouba”) were composed by Tarez between February and April 2024, around Auvergne and Aubervilliers. They were originally conceived for a live audiovisual project called Polifera formed with Lucie Damase, first performed at the Hardcoeur Festival in July 2024.

Out April 25 on Ma 間 Records, in digital and limited edition cassette.

Präsens Editionen was founded in 2011 to give home to zweikommasieben Magazin. Ever since a bunch of magazines, books, zines, records, tapes and oddities have been published.

zweikommasieben is a Swiss magazine that has been devoted to the documentation of contemporary music and sounds since the summer of 2011. The magazine features artist interviews, essays and columns as well as photography, illustration and graphics. In addition zweikommasieben curates and organizes a variety of events—for example Ebbing Sounds, a symposium that initially was held in the summer of 2018 in San Francisco, or the biennial London-based festival Oto Nove Swiss.
