TMU was established in 2003 as a music production company and has since morphed into not only production but radio programs, music releases and the planning and coordinating of events all across the country.

African/Kenyan Christian hip-hop artist Johnson Mwaniki popularly known as mc joe African unashamed saint is currently a student at Daystar university in Nairobi/Kenya doing Communication was born in Eastern Province Kenya as the first born from his family followed by 3 other siblings .He attended Kathonzweni Boarding primary School before going to Kitui high school for his o levels both in Eastern Province. His musical journey started at the age of 13 when a friend severally told him that he would become a musician one day because he was fond of rapping and singing other artist`s songs very well. For the first utterance he thought it was a joke but after a second and third time he decided to take action coz he thought God was using the friend to help him realize his God given Talent. After he got back to the class he took a pen and a paper and tried to write his first bars. Coming from a Christian background and getting saved at an early age mc joe had decided from the word go that he was going to sing songs that praised God though there were few artists doing Christian rap artists at that time that he knew. When he was 14 he started to present during church services in the chapel and the reception was good. He carried that on to Kitui high school and continued to grow his music art. He started recording music after clearing high school and so far God has been good. His music has been received well in Africa and overseas.
