Our next guest for the Parallel Voyager Podcast is ANDI A, formerly known as DANIELLE ARIELLI.

Besides collecting vinyl since 10 years, ANDI A started producing back in 2015 and has released some records, also under a few different (and mysterious) monikers! In the same year TOOFLEZ MUZIK was born, creating (out of necessity) a safe space for underrepresented DJ´s and producers, especially queer and FLINTA artists! With this vinyl only set ANDI A gave us a very special representation of her favorite house and techno tunes from the 80ies until now, creating a timeless journey for us.

Sie ist in den 90er gross geworden und hat zu Acidsound getanzt!  Der neue Sound von Westbam, Marusha und Dr. Motte waren ihr gleich sympathisch! 2006 ist sie durch Freunde zu ihren ersten Open Air geraten. Tja - dann waren die Glücksgefühle die Musik auslösen können - plötzlich  DA!!! Sie wollten nicht mehr gehen.....Inspiriert von den Sounds ihres Bruders und seinen Freunden, Techno aus den 90er bis heute, ging ihr Geschmack schnell zu Villalobos, Ben Klock und Adam Beyer über. Als sie dann 2013 das erste Mal auf das Love-Family-Park-Festival ging, war sie nach den Acts von Ben Klock, Adam Beyer und Chris Liebing total geflasht! – Chris Liebing – bis heute ihr motivierendes Idol! Die Welt war für sie wie (neu gemacht) – sie will das Auflegen lernen und das Zusammenspiel der Rhythmen entdecken, dass ist auf jeden Fall klar!  ;-)

Since 2019 Parallel is run solely by Riet, who is now concentrating on the podcast series and on her DJ projects DJ BONEY S, and her b2b projects DJ Frottée and Hypnotist, both with zikade. 

Late 2022 the name was changed to PRALL Berlin.

PRALL grew out of the defunct creative agency and event series Parallel Berlin, run by Daniela La Luz and Riet Meert.

She has her own rhythm in music and in life -- before finally stepping behind the decks herself, DJ BONEY S already looked back on two decades of club culture experience. Passionately collecting vinyl from various different genres for years, she started out as a party organiser in her native Belgium. Her behind the scenes work continued after relocating to Germany where she was heavily involved in establishing the PARALLEL nights at Griessmühle as a fixture of Berlin nightlife. 

As a former booker and label head, DJ BONEY S developed her own unique taste that is first and foremost shaped by one timeless medium: VINYL. She draws from classic 90s sounds and queer techno, travelling to otherworldly electro or cold industrial beats. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes pouncing -- but always trippy -- her sets invite you to close your eyes. 

DJ BONEY S is resident of SOUSAMI (Cyprus) and a former member of queer collective SLIME, female:pressure member and publishes the PRALL podcast series. She is also one half of DJ Frottée and of Hypnotist, both together with zikade.

In 1998 I found my love in vinyl and electronic music. 
From that moment I have been collecting music and organising underground events in the north of Germany. For a long time I worked in record stores such as Konkret Record and MTS City Sound and did the hosting of radio show called Rudeboy FM in Oldenburg. 
In 2006 I moved to Berlin to get inspired by the diversity of sound. Since moving to the city I have played regularly at Freiland Festival at Mulde de Ragazzi (2010 - 2015). In 2012, together with DJ Soulsurfer (well known artist and organiser on the Drum and Bass circuit) CTRL Berlin was set up.
Also in 2012, I began curating at the Ma Thilda Bar  for the next three years, turning a corner stone for the experimental and improvised music in Berlin. 
From 2016 - 2017 together with other local and international artists and curators, I began working with this new collective on a project called the Mirror Mirror Festspiele. This is a Festvial for experiemtal music and contemporary art, initially held at the Greenhouse Berlin. 
After this time, I began working in the outer limits of Berlin, together with ambient musician and sonic artist Wolfram Spyra. From 2017 - 2020, we spent our time in the underground Art Space called the World Wide Window. Here, together with different members of the local community, we opened the doors of the space for workshops, concerts, underground parties. The WwW is now located in Frankfurt (Oder).
I live in the moment and I have more alter egos than I can put on paper. ..But in a nutshell, my heart  and energy is for ever dedicated to subculture and music.
