EP produced for the project and installation called TOTEMA "the empathy box".

A blend of music performed live with the help of a granular synth from Mutable Instruments known as Beads, an electric guitar, stack of pedals (my beloved Jaguar), a great Martin dreadnought, a mandolin, another great synth from mutable instruments Anushri. 

Blended with field recordings produced for the project like bees around a beehive in my father's farm...and the voice of Philip K. Dick extracted from a tape of vocal notes he made in the late seventies.

- Field recordings from nature to ground it all with an earthy feel.
- Actual vocal notes from PKD himself, recorded back when he broke his arm and couldn’t type. These are bits about a sequel to *The Man in the High Castle* he never got around to writing—where the U.S. is split between Japanese and Nazi control.

In his notes, PKD dives deep into the I Ching and talks about orthogonal time and the nature of reality, themes I tried to capture in this piece. It’s all about questioning what's real, much like the doubts of the author character in his book who suspects the world he's writing about—where the Axis powers lost—is actually true.

Praxed (b. 1979) is a French musician and visual artist based in Paris, blending classical guitar with modular synthesis to create unique soundscapes since 1993.
Rooted in experimental music, Praxed's work resonates with ambient and free jazz influences. Dick's philosophical explorations.
Praxed's approach centers on live performance and improvisation, infusing his music with deep emotional content. Each performance is an immersive journey into his perception of reality, inviting listeners to explore intricate layers of sound and emotion.
His latest project, "The Classical Guitar and the Modular Synth Diary," features daily improvised recordings of experimental electroacoustic pieces, showcasing the fusion of traditional classical guitar melodies with avant-garde modular synthesis.
