Loved that transition from chaos to rhythm!

A quick set of soundclips I put together, to demo the sound of the new Moog Mother 32 Semi-Modular Analog Synthesizer. This is only using a single Moog Mother 32, Strymon Big Sky for reverb, and a Eventide Timefactor for delay. No compression, EQ, or mastering of any kind. During most of the tracks, I remove the FX at one point or another so you can hear the sounds of the Mother 32 as she is.

This is an unedited, unprocessed live recording, direct to Zoom H4N off the mixer. From a performance at 119 Gallery (Lowell, MA), November 17, 2012.

I used a large (14") Tibetan bowl with two SM57 mics. The signal was processed by an effects chain consisting of (in order) Moogerfooger Ring Modulator, Moogerfooger Cluster Flux, Deluxe Memory Man and Ekdahl Moisturizer. I also used the ring modulator's carrier oscillator as a drone, through a 4ms/Repeater Noise Swash and a Moogerfooger Freq Box -- this was a separate signal, but it was also routed through the effects chain.

I struck the bowl with a typical felt-covered wooden beater and bowed it with a violin bow (these are the high-pitched notes heard periodically). In a couple of spots, I used an EBow resting directly on the exposed springs of the Moisturizer. Feedback was employed at several levels throughout.

What happens when you let a 5 year old direct cross patching between two oscillators and Ian Fritz's double well chaos module?  And insists on jamming echo and reverb to 100 while you're at it (I added the phaser)?

I wiggled various knobs during the process as well.

First recording with the custom-built Ciat-Lonbarde Duosk.  No external FX, sequencing or processing was used - I did test out the mic input briefly so you might here some vocals. :-)

This is the second Duosk created and quite possibly the last.  This build contains the following:

Plumbutter
Cocoquantus
Sidrazziassi
Akihabara Tetrax (knobs instead of sliders)
Deerhorn (standalone module with audio routed into PB Deerhorn mixer channel)

Banana jack inputs and outputs on all units - 1/4" Outputs for the CQ and PB
