Deep into the absurd with Lou Drago.

Drone music without the professional boredom, Lou Drago is a Berlin-based artist whose selections can somehow reflect the deepness of what a great expanse of a ravine in the grand canyon might sound like at sunset - and further into the night.

How they do this is anyone's guess. To experience this first hand was a pleasure and highlight of our October edition, and other reason to check out their ambient, drone and experient series @transience-archive, and follow the sonic-seances created in collaboration with marum, infinity rug.

Mariachiara Troianiello, the Milan-based sound artist behind the moniker Katatonic Silentio, works at the intersection of electronic music, performing arts and sound studies. Both as a live performer and an independent researcher, she strives to connect different spheres and approaches to sound production.

Fresh from her European tour and set with Dekmantel Naarm, we are excited to chat with the ever impressive Pjenné.
Co-head of the sonic hypnotic label ‘companion’ and radio show host of Passing Notes on PBS. A respected name in Naarm's growing underground electronic scene, you might have seen her grace the decks atsome of our favorite festivals, such as Inner Varnika, Strawberry Fields and Golden Plains.

Pjenné, or known by her real name as Penny - does a lot more than just digging (and that already takes up a heap of her time), but she is also in academia with a Phd. As usual we chat beyond music and understand how she balances it all whilst giving her all.

For the seventh installment of our podcast series, we are happy to present you with the live recording of Antenes's set.

Having met Antenes nearly a decade ago in Taipei, we found her more than a natural match for our events: An esteemed and well-acclaimed sound designer, producer, and DJ, Antenes has a natural radar for the music that finds itself floating between soothing soundscapes, wistful textures, and the occasional, and possibly accidental acid kick, leaving listeners in, somewhat, surreal state, on the edges of reality and the liminal. In her own words, her music aims to "make us lose our sense of time." This is evident as her set meanders through different spheres over two hours, through gentle escapes, heavy turns, an occasional beat, and timeless drone loops, leaving listeners with a sonic journey in which time finds no place. 10年近く前に台北で出会ったAntenesが、私たちのイベントに自然と調和することは明らかで、この特別なセッションでは、彼女の長年にわたる経験、つまり高名なサウンドデザイナー、プロデューサー、DJの中で培われてきた感性が余すとこなく発揮されました。

彼女は、音楽に対する天性のレーダーを持っており、心地よいサウンドスケープ、切ないテクスチャー、アシッドキックの間を漂う音楽は、リスナーを現実と境界線の端にいるような、どこか超現実的（LIMINAL）な感覚へと適切な方法で案内します。彼女自身の言葉を借りれば、彼女の音楽は "時間の感覚を失わせる"と表現できます。穏やかな逃避行、ヘヴィな展開、時折聞こえるビート、時代を超えたドローン・ループなど、2時間以上にわたってさまざまな領域を蛇行する彼女のセットを聴けば、この言葉の意味が明らかになるでしょう。タイムレスな時空旅行をお楽しみください。

Mostra is a project that comes straight from the heart. An independent, small-format festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music which emerges as a counterpoint to the macro-festivals and the overcrowded, commercial and rather impersonal offerings of other large events held in Barcelona.

Mostra's third edition took place between the 28th and 31st March. Aina Climent's two hours set opened the festival on the first day of performances at Hangar, a day dedicated to the more horizontal musical proposals and cutting-edge sounds within the four days festival celebrated.
