It is a fearsome challenge, but it is one Precision Productions relishes at the start of every Carnival season. The combination of high expectations from eager fans along with each team member's drive to surpass the work of the previous year casts the fertile groundwork needed to annually invigorate Soca lovers with a complete musical Shake Down!

This newly released riddim is a sincere reflection of that sentiment as Precision's characteristic enthusiasm and love of vocation swell within every note from the feisty baseline to the sparkling chords, demanding vigorous movement from the second you hit play.

Naturally, for this level of stimulating sound high-octane vocalists who could exhilarate audiences universally were called upon to channel the unwavering rhythmic power.

Setting things off is Nadia Batson who declares she has a Split Personality, which only surfaces this time of year, while Akeem "Preedy" Chance warns that he is just plain Unruly, even as Patrice Roberts sings about a Blush that refuses to fade. Meanwhile Kerwin Du Bois brazenly proclaims I Am D One, just as Tian Winter revels being In De Middle, and with a heart filled with gratitude GBM Nutron closes things off devotedly chanting So Blessed. All of them give dynamic performances that make it near impossible to patiently wait for the festival to officially begin.

2016 continues to be a year of melodic experimentation for the team. New ideas are being transformed into reality to ensure fans of this genre savor yet another year of mind-blowing music, which will vibrate limbs and fete-ready feet straight into this otherworldly street-party without missing a single beat.

As the country debates the possibility of postponing Carnival due to the threat of an Ebola outbreak, two soca artistes have decided to put a comical twist on the topic.

Rodney “Benjai” Leblanc and Tishard “Screws” Barrington have today released a song called No Ebola. The song was produced by Optimus Productionstt.

With the refrain “Jump up in yuh gas mask, wine down in yuh gas mask”, the song says Ebola can’t stop celebrations in the country.

“We have to take these serious things and calm the public. Yes is a serious topic but we want to ease people mind,” said Benjai, when LoopTT reached out to him.

Stating that the song is just picong, Benjai said it came about when he and Screws were in studio liming and the topic came up.

“That was a three day thing, we were just wilding out,” he said.

Turns out, theirs may not be the only song on the dreaded this season.

“We are not the only people singing about Ebola, we are just the first, we know about five other people with Ebola songs,” said Benjai.

Asked how he felt about Ebola impacting on Carnival, Benjai said he is all for whatever it takes to keep the country safe.

“Anything we have to do to keep the country safe, we have to do, I not greedy. We don’t want no Ebola here. In the song I say, ‘Lock down the port if a man cough’.”

“No Ebola” is Benjai’s second release for the 2015 season. He is already enjoying good airplay with his song “Phenomenal” on the Kan Kan riddim, which also features Olatunji, Darnella of Roy Cape All Stars, Flipo and King Bubba and Lead Pipe.

Benjai, who enjoyed a good year following his striptease act at the Soca Monarch semifinals for his song “Come Out to Play”, said he has about five other songs but will release them depending on his mood.
