Established in between the contryside and a big city in France, Sanjib’s deep inspirations started in 2015. In 2018, he released his first album, «From Earth to Heaven» on the French label Lett Records. Exploring deeper atmospheres and focused on emotion, his music is dedicated to travel and introspection.
His works can be found on the brilliant South Korean label Oslated/Huinali, and also on Annulled, Precept, or Stellar Transitions.

Nico grew up in a small coastal town in Galicia in the late 80s. In 2008, he started to involve himself with deeper shades of electronic music and their profound sentimental atmospheres. His interest became an obsession, and within two years he began to play in clubs across the Spanish northwest.

According to the artist, he was influenced by a golden generation of local DJs who helped define and shape his sound in terms of dance music, along with a rounded love of legendary bands and artists from across the musical spectrum. His musical philosophy is that everyone has something to bring, so there is always something to learn.

In 2015, Nico moved to Barcelona, expanding his horizons both artistically and personally. He’s currently one of the residents of the renowned Nitsa Club, and together with the duo Binomi, is responsible for HIRU, a multi-venue party across the city designed as an ode to club culture.

Nico prefers not to pigeonhole himself into any particular style, but his sets are nothing short of hypnotic. When he plays, he looks for that peculiar sensory union with the dance floor that connects them without words, seeking to lead the night in the same direction together.

It's time to share the second beautiful episode of our SoundSculptors series with you. We invited the Zurich based artist live ensemble @regula-rec and chose their wonderful journey which they played in September 2023 for the @iorecs night at Kauz, Zurich. Their sound aesthetics are absolutely unique and precisely designed. Full of spicy grooves, filigree atmospheres and beautiful synth lines. 🎹 🎛️
The set was not recorded from the first second, around fifty minutes are missing. But the remaining 2 hours are so fantastic that we definitely wanted to share this with you 🌹

Space Textures is a label created by Glasgow based Fernie with a view to curating and bringing to the fore atmospheric deep techno.  

Founded in 2020 Space Textures has now released over 100 tracks from artists all across the world showcasing both upcoming and already established acts.  The label continues to build upon the original ethos staying true to the concept of releasing music that holds emotional value and resonates with the wider cosmos.

MNMT Label Showcase : Space Textures

Five wonderful years have passed for Velvet Vortex and keeping in mind all the people we have crossed paths with, all the lessons we have learned and all the inspiration we have gained – it is time to open a new exciting chapter. Further information will be discovered slowly, but at this moment we are ready to present the Velvet Vortex podcast series. Another branch of VV activity responsible for spreading our passion for deep, ambitious and quality sound in modern electronic music.

We are opening the series with a recording prepared by none other than our long time friend – a skillful and well-respected dj & producer – Luigi Tozzi. His carefully curated selection deftly brings the spirit of Spring, flowing gently like a breeze. Deep, unhurried narrative lets the listener perceive more details in those layered, ethereal sounds. Luigi’s attention to detail and harmony, which he brought to Velvet Vortex events several times already, comes to light once again.

Tentacular is back this week with incredibly talented, stuttgart based, producer Laima Adelaide (@amlia) 

Founder of @predawnrecords, she is also a highly skilled composer, producer, and dj with impressive musical foresight and taste, focusing on deep and ambient techno. Noisy textures, hypnotic beats and airy harmony define her very unique sound signature, both minimalist and pure, with impeccable sound design and an aesthetic close to the Bauhaus school. 

In this mix, she blends subtle frequencies and polyrhythms to evoke the imagery of a macroscopic or molecular world that blurs. This creates a merging effect between the boundaries of electronic music and natural phenomena. By combining nature's textures and organic elements, Laima orchestrates a sonic ride exploring the interplay between sound and nature.

Laima Adelaide shared a few words with her mix:

"Recently I have been inspired by fast tempo and a groove which comes in a faster BPM range. Also with a lot of futuristic sound design elements. I looked for soft and deep tracks with a subtle energy and unexpected turns. Recording the mix was like a meditation for me to listen to all the details and flow with the groove. I also feel quite fascinated by the dimensions of space and how architecture interacts with sound waves, so I picked tracks which play with different acoustics."

Noah Lyas, also known as Malii Yorks, is an Amsterdam based artist who is passionate about making refined ceramic products and composing deep atmospheric rhythms.
Malii grew up in a house where music was always on in the living room because of two passionate parents who shared a large record collection with their children. With a father as a musician, early contact with different instruments was made as well as performing arts.

Later in life, around the age of twenty, after many dances in night clubs with friends, Malii started to make his own music focussing on soft percussive rhythms and lush atmospheres, finding inspiration in different kinds of music and sometimes movies.

The first two releases, “Before the Horizon” and “Obsidian”, were the starting point of Noah Lyas, his pseudonym, and the beginning of his record label called “Profundo Collective”.

Our next guest is a DJ and musician who fills the dance floor with the spirit of mysticism and harmony. The Svarog project began its existence in 2014, with a release on the Spanish label Circular limited. Since then, the artist has released a lot of music on top labels of the genre, such as Semantica, Dynamic Reflection, Affin, Nachtstrom Schallplatten and others. He performed in almost all countries of the continent, at famous venues and clubs.

His music dives you into a hypnotic atmosphere, sometimes with epc or dramatic accents. Landscape textures and saturated timbres in the tracks create a magical flow, forcing the listener to dive deep into dance or meditation.

Modern and futuristic sounds, far from trendiness and simplicity, aesthetics, harmony and a bit of mysticism from the heart to all intelligent dancefloors out there.

Βorn, raised, and based in Patras, Greece, Alexskyspirit’s experience with the decks started in the early 00s in his hometown clubs and bars, blending his early influences of dark, progressive house with psychedelic trance. As he gradually honed his production skills and started shaping his musical identity, he shared the stage with some well-established names over those years, such as Edit Select, Keith Carnal, Charlotte De Witte, Dax J, Oxia, and Robert Dietz. 

His self-released and label-released material caught the attention of respected individuals from a broad techno spectrum, the likes of Amelie Lens, Joris Voorn, Abstract Division, Fabio Florido, Pan Pot, Deepbass, Ness, Claudio PRC, and Blazej Malinowski, who played his tracks on various occasions. 

His focus and sonic environments are weaved and led by his affiliation with the coldest season of the year, the echoes and the grey scenery during rainfall, the colourful and noisy urban landscape of the city traffic, and the impactful, awe-inspiring creations of architectural nature. His sound has a light, gentle approach combined with minimal elements of hypnotic ambience, distorted textures, and cinematic pads to conjure an aesthetically-pleasing yet deep atmosphere
