Not only did I have the honor of co-creating MOOV Festival 2022 but also closing the festival with so many friends and family there to support. This particular performance and experience will go down in my books as one of the most memorable times I have had in 15years doing this.

Prefix At MOOV Festival 2022

Prefix captures the attention of a crowd and holds it, he moves with them and builds on what they are feeding back to him, taking them on a new journey every time. From second-floor grooves to powerful main-floor sets, Prefix is an experienced DJ who understands the dance floor.

Psychedelic culture encompasses the essence of what our roles are as a race on this planet, these people are his family and his place in this family is to be a medium...A medium for music between source and listener, providing an avenue towards the Trance Dance Experience. 
The man behind the alias is John Vichos, co-founder of MOOV Festival and a familiar face on all kinds of dance floors nationwide.

A ferociously silly creature emerges from the uncut grass, pointed snout canvassing the dancefloor to find the sweet-spot of intersecting frequencies. He straddles the fence between forest and nightpsy, outputting groovy, introspective basslines that ride the crest of intoxicating leads and gurgling synths. After 12 years of declaring "I have that song", he's finally ready to blindly lead hippies into the unknown.

Metasonic is the psychedelic DJ project of Sidney van Dyk. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa now living in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since first being exposed to psychedelic trance music and culture in 2009 he fell head over heals in love with both.

He believes that the psychedelic trance journey at it's roots is one of the most liberating and freeing experiences one can have. Be it progressive day-time to Full-on night time to Darkpsy etc, etc, etc and all the myriad of genres in between. The journey it takes you within your own consciousness and who you are after experiencing this journey of sound and self is what made him fall in love. 

Hence the name, Metasonic(meta - after / sonic - sound) is a tribute to that place in all of us that we reach after being taken on a psychedelic sound journey.

His vision for this project is to bring about journey sets to take the listener to that special place inside themselves.
