‘Conscious Listening’ is a new podcast series by Pregnant Void record label that explores soundscapes born from the connection between deep ethereal music and the most advanced electronic musical experiments. For the first time collaborating on a mix, Camu and Joan Gila crafted this set for Temple 08 "world of echo", a series of deep listening events curated by Josephine and Camu himself at Espacio Perpendicular. 

The mix drifts through a landscape of minimalism, ambient waves, shamanic echoes, and deep, textural drones - an immersive journey through layers of sound.

The Art Of Listening x Experiment Intrinsic

Naturally active person, in 2014, Nathalia founded Experiment Intrinsic – a hidden art dimension organically blended with the visual and musical imagination.

A pivotal change, in which she pursued a path of deeper self inquiry and progression of sound, shifted her from the electronic dance-floor oriented music and into ambient soundscapes.

Her influences drew increasingly from experimental electronic, as well as traditional and spiritual genres.

The following years were dedicated as developing the project into a dynamic and constantly evolving audio-visual platform.

Continuum: a coherent whole characterized as a collection, sequence, or progression of values or elements varying by minute degrees.

There are moments in time that encapsulate and represent everything this project stands for. Connection through music, friendship, trust and creativity. Sharing via sound and etching magical moments and experiences in our minds. And thanks to Perpendicular, we might run out of space to store these experiences sooner than we thought. 

Some times music can't be explained and moments can't be captured. But also, some other times, someone was thoughtful enough to record. And luckily, this time, the latter happened, and we have been blessed with the opportunity to share this one of a kind performance. 

Alex, Javi and Joan are a treasure. Connectors, multipliers, and those special types of characters that make all of us grow a bit more. They nurture people and scene around them. And this time, they chose to tell the story of the story that was going on and at the story place itself.  Of course, with their twist. With an approach to art that does not compromise on craftsmanship to deliver a witty, psychedelic and mind altering performance.

This live is a heartfelt tribute to our favourite room in Perpen — a truly magical space.

It is from this very place that a parallel story arises — one absent from Cervantes’ written pages, yet whispered among the wisest and most hidden tongues. They say that once, during a peculiar detour and a wildly psychedelic journey, Sancho Panza and Don Quixote stumbled upon “La Cabaña”.

There, a druid and a paladin — as if summoned from some arcane legend — welcomed them warmly and invited them to spend the night. What followed, it is said, did not unfold in La Mancha, but in this very sanctuary of surreal encounters and mystical energy.

This tale is not found in the official texts, yet it lives on through oral tradition, echoed like a folk myth among those who know where to listen.

We are also sharing the English (Old-style) translation of the story (spoken word), as it is recited in Castilian Spanish.

The Continuum: RARs live - Perpendicular 2025

Mostra and Deep Breakfast Series are collaborating for a second year to bring you home some of the sounds that echoed through the festival’s unique spaces. Mostra is an intimate, independent festival dedicated to forward-thinking and experimental electronic music, taking place over four days in Barcelona.

Among the featured performances was nigul, the ambient drone project of Jaume Muntsant (also known as Droneghost). Active since 2004, nigul explores themes of darkness and fear through dense sonic textures, field recordings, and evolving soundscapes. His hybrid set unfolded on the second day of performances at Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació.

A church pipe organ sample recorded on my phone on summer vacations. Chop, repitch, stretch, loop, and I can drone for hours. And somehow out of the wall of sound there emerges a pulse. And the sonic space feels incomplete without some glitch and noise. And I let it find its rhythm and breathe.

Ding-ding, like pieces of ice, metallophone sounds bounce off stones in the frost and, striking, change their shape, become thick and viscous, barely transparent, flowing downward. This is how time slows down, disappearing under the veil of tape, where naive childhood melodies decelerate and stretch. Whether from overwhelming nostalgia or from the realization that none of this ever existed.

syndryang is a project by Vladimir Sychev, whose childhood was spent in the far north in Novy Urengoy. According to the beliefs of the Nenets who lived in what is now the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, a person consisted of a body and two souls: breath ("ind'") and shadow ("syndryang"). Breath was the common soul of all living things, from humans to plants. The shadow, however, was half-independent: it accompanied a person, protected from other shadows and underground beings, brought dreams. The loss of shadow led to illness and madness.

self-titled '24 is an attempt to capture what slips away: the feeling of home in a place you want to leave, and longing for a time that perhaps never came. Cassette recordings and melancholic melodies, digitized and filtered through the prism of modern technology, create a double exposure effect of time. Here lives a blurred past, where genuine and imagined memories interweave into one sonic picture.

Дзынь-дзынь, словно кусочки льда, звуки металлофона отскакивают от камней на морозе и, ударяясь, меняют свою форму, становятся густыми и тягучими, еле прозрачными, стекают вниз. Так замедляется время, исчезая под пеленой плёнки, где наивные детские мелодии замедляются и растягиваются. То ли от накатывающей ностальгии, то ли от осознания, что всего этого никогда не было.

syndryang — проект Владимира Сычёва, чьё детство прошло на крайнем севере в Новом Уренгое. Согласно представлениям ненцев, живших на территории современного Ямало-Ненецкого автономного округа, человек состоял из тела и двух душ: дыхания («инд'») и тени («синдрянг»). Дыхание — общая душа всего живого, от людей до растений. Тень же была наполовину самостоятельной: она сопровождала человека, защищала от чужих теней и подземных существ, приносила сны. Потеря тени вела к болезням и безумию.

self-titled '24 — попытка ухватить то, что ускользает: ощущение дома в месте, которое хочется покинуть, и тоску по времени, которое, возможно, никогда не наступало. Кассетные записи и меланхоличные мелодии, оцифрованные и пропущенные через призму современных технологий, создают эффект двойной экспозиции времени. Здесь живёт размытое прошлое, где подлинные и выдуманные воспоминания сплетаются в одну звуковую картину.

Pregnant Void is a division of Italian label Out-ER (Out Electronic Recordings).

The label started investigating in the relation between sounds and emotions, how frequencies and sounds interact with living beings, collecting experts’ opinions, researches and experiments.

Pregnant Void represents a mysterious, natural space of our Globe. The word is used into the astrophysical area of interest to indicate an invisible world to our eyes but full of vibrations. Those same specific vibrations which contributed to create the Universe and, later on, the Planets surrounding the globe.
