Dawes is from Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast and is a Lions Academy product. She is a dynamic inside midfielder that finished second in the agility test at the national combine. 2019 NAB AFLW Draft 1st round selection (Brisbane Lions) No.15 overall. She made her debut last season in the Round 1 clash against Adelaide Crows and heading into just her third season. The dynamic midfielder is already a 2021 AFLW Premiership player, 2021 NAB AFLW Rising Star nominee, and 2021 AFLPA 22 Under 22 Squad member.
