DSNT Podcast 047 - Ryan Dallas - End Of Year Mix 2014

I was lucky enough to be able to play at Shine a good few times over the past few years, so I thought it would only be right to get a mix recorded for their 20th birthday celebrations! 

Out of those 20 years, I reckon I've spent well over half of them going to Shine first when it was weekly, then when it was monthly....and all of the tracks in this mix have played a big part!

Probably could have done at least another two hours with all the tracks I wanted to play, but you'll have to make do with 2hrs 30mins for now....

Recorded all in one take with all my old vinyl, so hopefully it's not too messy!

One of Irelands most notable international techno acts, Diarmaid O Meara has been pushing his brand of intense, and driving techno throughout European clubs and radio shows since appearing vividly on the scene in 2010. Known for skillfull and energetic DJ sets and steady releases across the genres top labels, including his own Gobsmacked brand, Diarmaid has been a steady fixture in the European circuit for years playing alongside countless heros from A.Paul to Sunil Sharpe, and Dave Clarke to Dj Rush. His style of techno production is consistently lauded by the greats and charted on the download stores, while his Audio Affair Broadcast show showcases the best underground noise and upcoming artists biweekly.

Receiving numerous impressive acclamations, including being lauded as ‘One to Watch’ by M8 Magazine, ‘One of Techno’s brightest new stars’ by Tillate Magazine, and releasing Dave Clarkes No.1 track of 2010, Diarmaid has also featured in a myriad of music publications including Notion, Tilllate, CORE, DJ Mag and I-DJ, Connected, alongside multiple radio and music tv shows. What is this prize we speak of?, well, producers and bands/singers/musicians will have they're tracks fully mastered and featured on the upcoming Flog the Bog music compilation to be released in April 2014 on Advanced Electronic Records as well as having the chance to perform on the Flog the Bog main stage at the upcoming festival planned for Easter 2014. Successful DJ's will have sets recorded also "live" on main stage at the festival, mastered with crowd sound included and also featured as part 1 of a mix series on the Flog the Bog compilation!. Successful artists will be commissioned to create work for the " The Flog in the Bog" compilation series as well as creating the artwork that will shape the imagery of the festival. All winners will also receive 5 free tickets for they're friends, a bottle of Champagne or Whiskey (whatever your tipple may be) as well as free passes for themselves and band members (where applicable) to roam untouched at the festival with untold goodies also lined up. 
So get recording, mixing, singing, painting and whatever it is you do best and be part of the Flog the Bog festival community.
