CRIMES! brings charged-up heaviness, melodicism, 8-bit wormholes and sparkling touches to the expanding 20/20 LDN roster. Soulful vocals and epic cinematic breakdowns take the ordinary bass vibe into a refreshingly illuminating and otherworldly place. Raised in Southern California but recently moved to Portland Oragon, CRIMES! has previously released with Saturate Records and Never Slept and has been supported by Noisia, Plastician and DJ Craze.

"With the abundance of genres being birthed within multiple music scenes, its hard to pin point the direction of my music. I like to keep evolving styles and having no two beats sound the same. I come from a heavy hip hop background, hailing from the West Coast I've been exposed to some of the best and eclectic in the game. Having been heavily inspired by the beat scene in LA and also electronic music, naturally the two mixed into the sound I've been pushing. It was an honor having the crew at 20/20 interested in my music, so naturally I was excited to work on this EP. There's a dark and light side to these tracks combining 8bit sci-fi fantasy with a heavy bass hip hop twist."

Putting this shit together felt like wrestling an alligator on who wont hurt you but you'll get really tired trying to manhandle it, like its just fucking with you and knows you cant win. But we did and then some, as in, we fucken skinned that bitch and culled its family.

Putting this together with a deadline, actual art, theme and build took an effort not yet known to man as we all drag each other kicking and screaming toward victory. 12 creative artists actually working together on a corporate style project with a strict deadline, i know right, it's like something out of some shitty stoner james franco-seth rogan flick but it isn't a movie it's real and it actually worked out. All that is missing is a love interest but we will let the fans sort that out, oh shit man also we want to call you either "sons n daughters" or "dogz" if you follow our shit and also we aren't a collective any more we are a "clan" apparently. There is an inherent sense of peace that comes with the quiet later evening hours when most are asleep and the world seems to slow down. Though there are less in my life present day, they still exist as hours where the more intuitive and thought-provoking ideas come into life and blossom. We miss so many of these hours sleeping through them, so to experience them presently is a gift.

And then those nights are gone with a blink of the eye, with the returning sun treading over the horizon - as if they never existed in the first place. Sink deeply into the night.
