Rachel AO is a singer-songwriter, and performing artist, based in Los Angeles, California. Her music combines elements of piano driven pop and soul. 

Originally from Michigan, Rachel AO studied classical voice, piano, theatre, and dance all throughout her life. No stranger to the stage, she has been performing since she was four years old. At the age of thirteen she toured Europe with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International choir, and in college she proceeded to cultivate her songwriting skills when she was selected to join the Contemporary Music Center, an invite only music industry experience based on Martha’s Vineyard. Rachel AO has also been cast in several musical theater productions, leading as the character Joanne Jefferson in the musical RENT (2015), and as Mary Magdalene in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar (2016).

Since moving to Los Angeles, Rachel has been making her way to the stage at various venues around the city. Rachel has performed at The Mint, The North End Hollywood, Los Globos, Bar Lubitsch, State Social House, and Molly Malone’s to name a few. 

Rachel's favorite part about songwriting is the opportunity to tell a story through her lyrics as well as evoke emotion through her voice and instrumentation for the listener. Her music takes you on a journey.
