Partisan's label head Anthea steps up for our first podcast since Dimensions 23'. The British-born, Berlin-based artists' funk-fuelled take on house & techno has rightly won plaudits around the globe, and with DIM 295, Anthea showcases the deeper end of her collection over a spellbinding 85 minutes.

We'd also like to introduce friend of the festival Ginny PA, who's photography we'll be using in our new-look mix series artwork moving forwards.

Hofmann & Yela deliver podcast number 25 on our series. The duo, hailing from Antwerp, Belgium combine a pallet of sounds with Hofmann leaning more towards 90's house and techno whilst Yela demonstrates a more eclectic approach in his selection. The mix elegantly drifts through a variety of melodic techno, basement breaks and cutting edge house littered with futuristic flavour. A joy to listen to and a perfect party starter packed with delicious grooves.

I’ve been on to him about getting a mix together for a while now so am pleased to say that he has delivered in style on this one.

Jamie effortlessly takes us on a trip through many spaces in this 1hr mix and proves that he is as good at finding his own records as he is at finding yours.

A few words from Mr. Watts himself: “In terms of the tune selection in this mix, I wanted to try and strike a balance between the Ba Dum Tish sound and my own sound. I hope I have accomplished this but I will let you be the judge of that.”

I thoroughly enjoyed this mix whilst driving from Berlin to London when moving house and I hope you enjoy it too.

Federico Benedetti aka Onirik is a bit of a renaissance man, he is a DJ, an accomplished one at that, he is an artist, quite a good one with releases on Garage Hermétique, Off The Grid and Dopium Tribe. He also happens to have his own record label, a rather good one too, it's called Garage Hermétique, you will likely have heard of it. Emerging from the Romanian scene back around ten years ago as an accomplished DJ and producer, Bucharest's Funk E has been on a circuitous path since then, taking in gigs all over the globe as well as a residency at Underground in Ibiza. 

Despite releasing on a number of prominent labels, he's always kept a pretty small footprint; focusing on quality rather than pumping out a stream of tracks and mixes.  This one is no different and hints at an artist who's been steadily refining their craft.  In it you can hear the evolution of his sound; clearly with one foot in the Romanian landscape in which he cut his teeth but possessing an uncommon sophistication and depth.

PTX Cast 012 - Patrick Klein

This week on the podcast, a mix from friend of the festival and celebrated Cartulis resident Junki Inoue. Born in Tokyo but living in London since 2012, Junki's been an avid record collector from an early-age. Few have bags as deep, something shown by this mix, which happens to be an hour section of his set from Dimensions 2022. It's testament to the timeless sound he's cultivated that you'd never tell.

Catch Junki at Dimensions this summer, playing during Cartulis' showcase at Cosmos on the Saturday.
