Best known as an electronic duo, Cham-pang became a fixture of the Montreal new wave scene in 1981 with the release of a two-song EP on YUL Records (“Tantum Ergo” b/w “Ne mourrez pas”). The session featured Men without Hats’ Allan McCarthy on electronics and Yvel Champagne on vocals, although the group also depended on contributions from Mario Spezza of Rational Youth and Pyer Desrochers. A multidisciplinary artist with a singular voice and an arresting presence, Champagne then joined force with experimentalist Bernard Gagnon whose works at the time ranged from free improvisation to electroacoustic music. He recruited former bandmate Angel Calvo, of new wave outfits Vex and Rational Youth, as well as Robert M. Lepage, whom he knew from his early years with the Experimental Music Workshop. Long-time Cham-pang collaborator Pierre-Laurier Lamarche and Daniel Lajoie completed the group, helping give it a new direction both sonically and performance-wise.

This LP contains material composed ahead of a defining concert at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal’s Tritorium in April of 1982.

Our special guest is Ece Özel, who runs MŰSTESNA RECORDS together with Umut Kahya. The label was formed in Istanbul in 2018. The inauguration from the label came with one of the coolest releases from 2018, by Etnik Sentetik. Ece Özel is a Dj and she has been running her own parties & podcast series as “Özel Zevkler”, mostly focusing on artists from Turkey.

Following the aspirations of the first compilation of Bizaarbazaar, #2 is a media experiment that attempts to preserve musical content against the unpredictable mutations of the web. It features the work of over 40 artists responding to the themes: ‘Sonic Fragments,’ and ‘Rhythmic Weaponry.’

While bizaarbazaar #1 was packaged as a zine and double cassette, its successor strays further from conventional music packaging to take the form of a t-shirt tied to a unique download code, and a radio transmission on NTS Radio. To celebrate as well as accompany the release, a listening session of bizaarbazaar #2 is held at Motto Berlin in collaboration with the Swiss magazine zweikommasieben.

The darkest days had already come and only They reside in glass flats of cyber memories from a future past. Black sphere through the brightest nights and symbols of neon remnants of past lies, on walls high painted with chrome dies. Computers don’t understand sacrifice.


Recorded in Athens / Berlin in 2019 using a chimera of digital and analog synthesisers.

After the successful release of Diamont Dancer`s first album “Shapes” and Güiro Meets Russia´s second album “Folk Psychology”  Canoa Snake Records strikes again with a very special debut single by Luz Verdadera.


Luz Verdadera is the new Electronic Music duo from Valencia, Diego Escriche and Patricia Ferragud (both members of Spanish top emerging indie rock band La Plata) show their darker side through this new instrumental project. Heavily influenced by artists like SKY H1 or Burning Pyre they define their sound as “a walk through all our musical obsessions with a desire to create a dialogue between different aesthetics from ambient to IDM”. Their sound is 100% sculpted using hardware synthesizers and drum machines, their compositions combine the emotionality of vaporous textures and ethereal vocals with the aggressiveness of the machine. Their first single “Presente” will be out on June 22nd 2020.

Artwork is an exclusive picture by Geray Mena a visual artist and image maker living and working between Madrid and London. Following his MA in Photography from EFTI he moved to Amsterdam where he studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Since 2016 Geray works as a freelance photographer in the fields of still-life and fashion, dancing in the lines between culture, art and commerce. Besides his practice, Geray has held exhibitions, published books and since 2017 is teaching, giving lectures and workshops at Istituto Europeo Di Design.
