Pretty Bent Machine is a Maker/DIY/CB/noise tribute to Pretty Hate Machine by Nine Inch Nails.  This compilation features at least 2 versions of each song on Pretty Hate Machine and will have at least one version of each track from the Purest Feeling demos.

We realized that PHM was going to be 25 years old in 2014 and decided to organize a compilation to celebrate an album that has not just had a huge impact on music fans worldwide, but also on musicians who grew up listening to that album and were influenced by it in countless ways.    

Some of these musicians are also artists and engineers and experimenters, so to celebrate this we present (most of) Pretty Bent Machine-a multinational collaborative project featuring tracks made by artists from all around the Americas and Europe.  

Each of these tracks features at least one DIY project, circuit bent instrument, altered effect, misused electronic devices. Some tracks feature noinput mixers using shaped feedback as musical instruments, others feature things like circuit bent drums and live horns mixed together with hilarious perfection, still others are created entirely by instruments made, designed and manufactured by the artist performing on the track.

This compilation reflects hundreds of hours of music lovingly made by dozens of artists spanning genres and continents.  I can't thank everyone who contributed enough!  A fully organized and properly arranged version of this compilation is forthcoming, keep an eye out!
