Words and sounds for my track are inspired by this excerpt:

"His gestures wild and full of grace, precipitate the cosmic illusion; his flying arms and legs and the swaying of his torso produce — indeed, they are — the continuous creation-destruction of the universe, death exactly balancing birth,  annihilation the end of every coming-forth ..."

NIGHTINGALE VS. LARK

In 1997, I wrote the soundtrack for a movie being produced by members of the Jewish Anti-Defamation League, about Dachau.  For those that don't know, Dachau was the longest operation concentration camp run by the Nazis from 1933 to 1945.  Somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000 people were systematically tortured and murdered in the camp.  This was to be the main title theme song, but alas, they dropped the project due to lack of money.  I've seen the first 20 minutes or so, and it's a real shame it wasn't finished.

I visited this camp, and I can tell you that it is one of the most unnerving experiences you'll ever had.  You can feel. touch and smell evil there, and the voices of it's victims are still heard in and around the camp.   After I visited it, I sat on the curb in the parking lot and cried for a full 2 hours.

Marc is a journeyman of a musician.  As a professional bassist, arranger, engineer and producer he has produced and engineered over 80 albums and played on hundreds of sessions from Los Angeles to Boston and all points in between. He is also a songwriter, having written music for artists big and small.  He has been married to Debi since 1985, and has 2 children- Ian and Sarah along with 2 granddaughters.  Marc lives and works out of his home studio near Seattle, Washington.
