After years of trawling the musical landscape looking for where the next future beats are coming from, DJR finally realised that the secret was locked in humanities recent history. Coming out of the 1920's with a hop, a skip and a swing was a hook so fine that it could mix with any future beat with ease, becoming the common factor binding hip hop, breaks, house, techno, drum & bass and dubstep all together with a groove so irrepressible that you couldn't help but just get down...

Over recent times DJR has played at numerous swing events, bringing his high tempo brand of swing and balkan beats to many a delighted dancefloor. This includes playing for Vaudeville Rave at Glade, Swing City in Aberystwyth, Planet of the Breaks, Swingamajig, Boomtown Fair, Workhouse, Otterfest, and of course bringing the swing to Shropshire with his own decadent night 'The Electro-Swing Ball'.

The creaking sound of old school vinyl is not enough for the eccentric band “Sweet Life Society”; the talented group that mix contemporary tunes with old school “Cotton Club”, re-styling the “Swing Music Culture” into a mix of electronic sounds, while also adding the performance of live instruments from the best “Torinese” Jazz scene.

The two producers of this new music project - Gabriele Concas and Matteo Marini - perform live, accompanied by an eclectic ensemble made up of doublebass and wind instruments such as a trumpet, sax, clarinet and flute. They are also backed by two exceptional voices.

Tom Mayhem is a Portsmouth-based DJ known for high-energy sets that blend drum and bass, breakbeat, and roots-influenced reggae and dub. With a career spanning over two decades, he has become a familiar name on the South Coast and beyond, carving out a reputation for genre-blending selections and deep bass-driven sets.

He is a core DJ and promoter for both Beats & Swing and Amen Sound, two of the region’s most respected underground music collectives. Whether playing intimate venues, late-night forest parties, or festival stages, Tom brings a raw, uplifting energy that reflects his deep passion for sound system culture and rave heritage.

Tom was formerly one half of the duo Trix and Mayhem, a project that left a lasting mark on the local scene. The partnership ended with the passing of Mark (RIP), but the spirit of their work continues to influence Tom’s approach today.

Rooted in community and driven by a love for bass music in all its forms, Tom Mayhem continues to push forward sounds that move dancefloors and bring people together.
